I haven't been paying much attention to the modding scene for bg3 for a while. Still on patch 2 and playing with the initials mods that I have during said run.
Came back to see what's new etc and Immersive AI is now under moderation. Apparently creator had tantrums? Anyways, I won't be removing that mod until I finish my current run(still on patch 2 lol)
Once I'm done w/this current run, I plan on doing a new file with new mods etc but is there any other alternatives that does what Immersive AI did?
I suggest to not use any ai mods. For stability, in patch 5 you cannot just continue a save when you remove mods, you need to do some extra steps just to remove one, and some steps doesn't always work. While some suggest lethal AI it has some crashing issues.
Immersive AI author spent a lot...I mean a lot...of time on that mod writing custom AI's for each creature type as well as another mod to return monster stats to what they should be per 5e rules.
At the encouragement of his community, he sent a CV to Larian and received a form letter rejection back in response. He took it poorly.
Bad mouthing Larian on numerous occasion about how shitty the AI is (not even constructive criticism) then proceed to try to work for them? Really? Who wants to work with people who criticise others easily but condemn those who criticise him back? I'm giving the benefit of the doubt that MAYBE he's good at balancing the AI but his attitude during all this fiasco is questionable and outright atrocious.
1 - does immersive AI when you still have the latest update of it work with the game currently without breaking your game at some point because i have read from some people it breaks some levers and enemies and so on.
2 - same question for leathal AI because @kvnbass also said: "some suggest lethal AI has some crashing issues", which issues and where did you read/hear that from.
Good news, this isnt 5e nor is it dnd. I know, pretty shocking but plenty of people mix it up. Its why theres soo many mods to turn this into 5e cuz everyone jumped into the game expecting one thing and got another, its also ruined dnd too cuz people play this and think they can "help" and ally who got dropped to 0hp by picking them up and giving them a magical 1hp
And why are you downplaying the tantrum he threw? He has no community lmao you sound like a fake acct
The immersive AI modder submitted his mods as a portfolio to Larian, but after being rejected, he harassed people with whining like a drama queen.
Also his mod had a lot of bugs in terms of AI. Additionally, he built the Dodge ability on both enemies and allies, and his AI mod spammed Dodge, making combat less fun.
People gave him feedback on this, but he made disparaging comments and blocked all. He deleted all comments that were against him on the mod page.
Finally, even though he knew that deleting his mod would blow up people's save files, he irresponsibly deleted the mod and ran away with it.
In the end, it only caused harm to others by causing others to upload additional mods that deleted this immersive AI mod.
Are there instructions anywhere on how to make these dummy files? I have one called Bag of Campers' Inventories, and the mod author deleted it from Nexus. Still works, but I'd rather not have it around for future patches.
I'd used the mod you linked already, but just wanted to say, thanks for adding this option for folks who are less familiar/comfortable editing their game files, it's really cool of you.

It doesn't matter how good you are. If you aren't cooperative or bearable to work with, you're useless.
