Author notes
I really don't care what you do. I think people getting bent out of shape over something they released for free into the public sphere is dumb. There's nothing new under the sun, and if you took my mod and incorporated it into another, how would I even know? Am I supposed to get all angry every time someone makes a mod that gives other weapons the finesse property? Mine wasn't even the first, though I didn't know that until after I published this mod. Maybe just be cool and give credit if I or my mod helped you learn something new. Or don't, I'm not a cop.

Changelogs

Version 1.1
Added katanas as a finesse weapon
Version 1.0
Initial Release
Adds the "Finesse" weapon property to Handaxes, Quarterstaffs, Spears, Sickles, and Katanas.
This allows them to use your Dexterity modifier for attack and damage rolls instead of strength, and to qualify as Sneak Attack weapons.
These weapons are also added to the "Finesse Weapons" loot table.
Why?
To enable more character options without being too overpowered. Plenty of characters in fiction use these classes of weapon with speed and precision instead of brute strength, but in the Dungeons and Dragons 5e rules the only class that can do so are Monks (by making them monk weapons). If you're playing as a Rogue, the only melee weapons you can sneak attack with are daggers or swords, which seems unreasonably limited.
This is an outright buff to these weapons, but in my opinion it's not a huge one. It essentially brings these simple weapons up to par with some martial weapons, but classes that are restricted to using simple weapons as some kind of power-tradeoff (wizards, warlocks, etc.) aren't using melee attacks to deal damage anyway, so this allows a little more variety to martial classes.
Installation:
8/5/2023 : First install the Full Release Mod Fixer. This is required for Mods to work generally, and using More Finesse Weapons without it will result in you being unable to interact with NPCs. If this happens to you, you will need to first install the Full Release Mod Fixer, and then revert to a savepoint made before you started using More Finesse Weapons
More Finesse Weapons is best installed with the BG3 Mod Manager at the moment
Import the ZIP file (Ctrl+M)
Export mod list to Game (Ctrl+E)
As of Hotfix #1, the game does not officially support mods. The launcher will complain about mods being present, and the game will display the error, "We were unable to create a working story..." when you start or load a game. Both messages can be ignored
