The base version is pretty balanced. With that said, the second upgrade is in line with legendary weapons you can get from act 2 and 3. However the third upgrade is stronger than anything in the game and more for a "fun" run. So for balancing, act 1 and 2, use the base item. Act 3, upgrade to second tier and keep it that way for the rest of the game.
This is truly awesome.. I was hoping to dual-wield it, but if I summon another chest, there's no duplicate of the dagger for some reason. Am I doing something weird?
No you aren’t doing anything weird, Currently the way it works the item is “Unique” therefore you can only ever have one in the game.
There is an issue with the dagger and the Tutorial Chest Spell because of this too… If you spawn the chest, and don’t take the dagger out, the dagger would have already been spawned into the world, so it won’t be obtainable after that.
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!! For the longest time I've wanted to create a Nazgul/Witch-King of Angmar cosplay, but I have found it really limited for weapons and armor. Quick question, do you have any plans on creating armor for a Nazgul or Witch-King of Angmar so my cosplay can be completed?
Looking forward I am hoping to start working on armours. Likely first will be this one, and then probably Gandalf (and what else? Who knows).
I am learning as I go, but currently I’m updating this mod and the Gandalf one to seamlessly fit into the game. So I’m guessing after all that is done, is when I would start working on the armours. ✌🏻
Ah! I didn't even realize you were the same author. I am currently using your Mithrandir mod in a playthrough. Love it. :)
It's kind of like the Millennium Falcon in my game at the moment. I made a couple of special modifications myself. ;)
If you feel so inclined ... I'd love it even more if you were able to throw in the actual Glamdring model. I'm only just now able to tinker today, and I plan to look into possibly doing that myself.
I’m planning on eventually adding most major weapons from LOTR :D just got the hang of adding custom meshes, and it’s just a matter of finding/making the model.
I basically just followed armour tutorials and tried to understand the moving parts of everything. With lots of help from the Larian Studios Discord, I finally was able to understand how weapons work. There’s a LOT of similarities, but also a LOT of little things that need to be changed for seemingly no reason. xD
There is the chat log I used to create this weapon in that discord, shouldn’t be too hard to find it, but that shows ALL of my work/mistakes that it took to get it working.
“bg3-mods-dev” chat lets you search for common problems in hopes of finding a solution
The topic I created is called “How to Create Weapons - Issues with custom models showing up in game. (SOLVED)”
I received a step by step instruction guide (basically) on how to line models up with bone structures in the game (Shoutout: aruless). Also, I personally uploaded exact steps I was doing to link the mesh up, if you read all of that and use a few tutorials from Nexus, you’ll be golden!
Hope this helps you find a fun new hobby like me! ✌🏻
You are a scholar and a gentleperson. Thank you for this.
I tried asking for help with this kind of thing on several of the Larian mod channels last night, and I was either ignored or given a smart-alecky answer. I really do appreciate you taking the time to point me in the right direction.

I’m glad you like the Blade though! :)
