About this mod

Implements level scaling for spells obtained from Warlock Pact of Tome (Deepend Pact) and Eldritch Invocation (Book of Ancient Secrets). Unlocks most useful cantrips which are normally not available for Warlock class.

Implement automatic level scaling for the following Warlock spells:

Pact of Tome, Deepened Pact:
  • Animate Dead (summon more undead, summon better undead);
  • Call Lightning (deal more damage);

Eldritch Invocation, Book of Ancient Secrets:
  • Ray of Sickness (deal more damage);
  • Chromatic Orb (deal more damage);

All damage spells scale with CHA.

In the original game these options are very weak due to lack of spell level scaling, especially when you reach higher levels. With level scaling these options become somewhat more valuable, espeically considering lack of spell slot cost.

Since version 1.1, Animdate Dead has special scaling rules attached to Warlock class level:

  • Warlock level 5-6 => Animate Dead lvl 3
  • Warlock level 7-8 => Animate Dead lvl 4
  • Warlock level 9-10 => Animate Dead lvl 5
  • Warlock level 11+ => Animate Dead lvl 6

Initially lvl 6 was not available, since Warlock class caps at spell slot level 5 in original game.

Since version 1.2, Pact of Tome additionally unlocks the following cantrips:

  • Thaumaturgy
  • Resistance
  • Shillelagh
  • Dancing Lights
  • Light
  • Sacred Flame
  • Ray of Frost
  • Firebolt
  • Shocking Grasp

Since BG3 allows unlimited re-spec, "selecting only 3 cantrips" is meaningless. Granting most cantrips upfront helps to work around the limitations of warlock pacts and character progession screen, while providing the same level of flexibility.

This mod REQUIRES Animate Dead Plus Plus, since "Animate Dead" spell in the base game is not compatible with Warlock spell level scaling. Also, if you're planning to use "Animate Dead" in your modded playthough, you most likely want to install "Animate Dead Plus Plus" anyway.

This mod should be placed BELOW "Animate Dead Plus Plus" in the mod loading order.
