Overview:
Besides racial differences, there's no consequence or difference between different body shapes in the game.
With Interesting Body Types, now there is one!
Body Types are now distinguished as follows:
- Regular:
Effect: +1 Charisma
Reasoning: On par with the larger part of the population, so deemed on average more attractive, and Charisma is in partly attractiveness
Gameplay note: Makes for slightly better party faces
- Large:
Effect: +2 Strength, +1 Intimidation, -1 Dexterity
Reasoning: Stronger, more imposing, but a bit clumsy because things are not made for such big shapes
Gameplay note: Makes better melee damage dealers
- Small:
Effects: +2 Dexterity, +1 Performance, -1 Strength
Reasoning: Smaller and faster, also used to play off with humour the looks from the taller folks. Lack pure strength
Gameplay note: Makes better ranged or finesse damage dealers
- Sturdy:
Effects: +1 Constitution
Reasoning: Small yes, but mostly stocky
Gameplay note: Makes better tanks
- Skinny:
Effects: +2 Intelligence, +2 Intimidation, -2 Charisma (intimidation is actually +3 to be mitigated to +2)
Reasoning: Alien culture, and alien looks that look intimidating and/or repelling
Gameplay note: Makes better wizards, and intimidating party faces
Notes:
Only playable characters can benefit from these effects at the moment.
The effects are added to them when they join the party, and remain on them from then on.
As of version 3.0, it works on NPCs as well.
New icons for version 2.0 onwards are from GraphicFade.
Modded races:
Modded races need to be added to the mod, they won't be recognized by default.
For now are included:
- WotD Aasimar - Script Extender Edition by Trips, using either Regular or Large
- Ghastly Ghouls - Playable Undead Race by ghouls0rules, using Alien
- Fantastical Multiverse by DungeonsAndSouls, using appropriate body types (Credits to GraphicFade)
I may add more in the future. Some adjustments or new categories might be required for other races.
If you want to request one being added, please give me the following information to save me time:
- The race's uuid
- The body type to assign
Installation:
Use BG3MM
Requires Script Extender
Updating:
Safe to update from 1.x to 2.0.
For further versions, if updating from 1.x to 2.x, please:
- update to 2.0 first
- load your game
- wait a bit (at least 10 seconds)
- save
- update to the last available version
Uninstallation:
Use console command:
Osi.ApplyStatus(GetHostCharacter(),"SIAEL_BODYTYPE_UNINSTALLER",0,0)
This will remove the mod from current party members.
Repeat it as many times as necessary, switching party members every time.
Once you're done with everyone, save and uninstall the mod.
Compatibility:
Should be compatible with anything
Meant to complement Interesting Origins.
