About this mod

I was playing around with the game and find I enjoy my time using a controller. So I decided to add a bit of immersion to it. My mod allows you to sheathe/unsheathe your weapon on the fly.

So I decided to add a bit of immersion to it. My mod allows you to sheath/unsheathe your weapon on the fly.

Once you downloaded the file head over to:

"C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\PlayerProfiles\Public"

IMPORTANT
If you 'DO NOT' have a inputconfig1_p1, then copy and paste the file into your folder. If you 'DO' have the inputconfig1_p1 file 'DO NOT' overwrite the file, instead open my file and copy and paste the lines from my file into your own file.

What this mod does is replace the 'dpad up' button with combat mode, which then allows you to sheathe and unsheathe your weapon on the go for immersive play.

I use the jump ability from the ability wheel which makes sense to use 'dpad up' as the sheathe button.

This mod was inspired by Ch4nKyy 's mod here:  https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/781/?tab=posts .

UPDATE:
I've just added a config for using the 'dpad down' to sheathe and unsheathe your weapon. This allows you to still use the 'jump' quick access action by pressing up on the dpad. By using the 'dpad down' as sheathe, it does take away the action to go into 'stealth'. You would have to do it through the menu wheel if possible.

Also please remember, if you already used the 'main' file for having 'dpad up' as the sheathe toggle, but now want to use the 'dpad down', DELETE previous lines and add the new lines from the 'Optional' mod.

So much dpad's..... jeez.

FINAL UPDATE:

With thanks to sqparadox for the list, I have made the final version of this mod.

It gives you back the complete default controller settings. You can use stealth, and also jump once again. It now however Changes the Left Shoulder Button to sheathe you're weapon.

Thank you to all who have downloaded and supported this mod.

If you do want to mess with the config yourself there is a list in the comment section. If you would rather not do all the faffing about, then drop a comment and I can rustle up the file for you :)

Stay bless!
