travel to colonial New England to answer the call of their friend Charles Davenport
and banish a particularly powerful curse plaguing the town of New Eden.
Like 1403, 1695 is the beginning of an incredible journey far from the mainstream.
For me, Banisher's Ghosts of New Eden is one of the best games of the year and has captivated me deeply.
I would compare it most closely to The Witcher 2, Greed Fall or Days Gone. But with a lot more effort,
depth and a bigger and more polished story. Lots of great stories, to be precise.
What starts off so simply and slowly ripples along gets better and better over time.
And above all: more and more beautiful. An absolute scenic highlight.
The story always takes centre stage and shows you the way. After a certain amount of time to get used to it,
removing the HUD and the blue colouring of the screen, I quickly found my way around.
I couldn't stop exploring, solving puzzles and listening to the great stories.
All characters are unique in appearance, history and background.
There are no decorative NPCs. No decorative houses.
Even the villages change visually over the course of history.
I try to keep my pictures as spoiler-free as possible. If there are enough people interested,
I will be happy to continue this elaborate series of pictures.
My choice for this rarely beautiful game was the right one.
