Install instructions:
Before we begin for the RTGI + SSR effects they can only be obtained from Pascal Gilchers Patreon https://www.patreon.com/mcflypg
This is optional but the main visual enhancements of my preset come from these.
Step 1. Install ReShade https://reshade.me/ Select all options when installing. (the game exe. is called shipping pc -bmgame.exe and located in
STEAM - STEAM APPS - COMMON - BATMAN ARKHAM ASYLUM GOTY - BINARIES)
Step 1.1 If you have acquired the RTGI shaders from above optional step copy and paste these into the ReShade Shaders folder that will be in the game folder.
Step 2. Download my preset and unpack it.
Step 3. Copy and paste my preset into the game folder where you have just installed ReShade.
STEAM - STEAM APPS - COMMON - BATMAN ARKHAM ASYLUM GOTY - BINARIES
Step 4. IMPORTANT. Before we run the game if you're using the RTGI shader we may need to set the correct depth buffer upon opening ReShade and getting the shader to work. In game antialiasing needs to be DISABLED for the depth buffer to work. With it being enabled I have not been able to get the depth buffer to work. My preset smooths and cleans the image with SMAA and gaussian blur so don't worry about having to disable antialiasing.
Step 5. Run game and open the ReShade menu with the M key (if that doesn't work then it will be the HOME key)
Step 6. Select my preset from drop down menu. The preset can be toggled on and off with the N key.
Step 7. If the RTGI + SSR effects are not working then the depth buffer needs to set correctly in ReShade - Please see the screenshot and the highlighted box that needs to be ticked. This should fix the depth buffer. If you still have issues with depth buffer there are plenty of YouTube videos explaining how to set it.
