Compatible with City Redux - Ascension Overhaul mod should be installed before City Redux. Check Readme if City Redux is already installed.
Players should start a new save file when running this mod. This mod will not work as intended on existing saves.
New difficulty options
Regular
For players who want a more casual playthrough experiencing all the gameplay changes.
Insane
Recommended difficulty for players experienced with the Arkham franchise and looking for a challenge.
Chaos
Only for the bravest.
New Game Plus
The hardest difficulty with attack indicators removed. Higher level enemies appear from the start and all gadgets and upgrades will carry over to New Game Plus.
(Mod will not work as intended on existing NG+ save files. Players should unlock NG+ with a new save file)

- Overhauled upgrade system
¬ Power Gadgets now function as Special Combo Moves similar to Arkham Knight
¬ Removed armour upgrades for Batman
¬ Earlier access to certain upgrades
¬ Multi-ground takedown ability removed (balancing)
¬ Batclaw weapon disarm ability removed (balancing)
- Gliding and grapnel boost speeds adjusted and more in line with Arkham Knight
- New death tips and UI text in-game to assist you on your journey
¬ Earlier access to certain upgrades
- Combat and gadget adjustments
¬ Decreased Bat Swarm radius and damage
¬ Adjusted damage and stun values of various moves
¬ Increased speed of various slow actions to compensate for faster enemies (Beatdown, Ground Takedowns etc.)
¬ Small adjustments to other gadgets
- Enemies are more brutal and intelligent
- Increased Titan control time
- Bosses are more aggressive
- Many more adjustments to discover
Notes:
- Thug strike damage is minimal in the beginning of "Regular" and "Insane" campaigns, but will go up as you progress through the game. This is down to the game's design and is something I can't circumvent.
- Removal of armour upgrades is mainly due to lack of boss damage control. The damage values of certain boss actions cannot be increased.
- Health bar of certain bosses may not appear correctly, but is functioning as intended. This is due to the updated health values scaling beyond the viewable health bar.

Roadmap
- Support for all languages.
- Make certain bosses deal more damage when possible.
- Change or increase enemy spawns. Would like to make mini-boss enemies more common with reward drops.
- Replace Multi-Ground Takedown with a different move - perhaps borrowed from a different player character.
- Restore lunatic enemies.
- Equalize player combat animation speeds to improve balancing and fluidity
