In essence, the mod would aim to bring the classic Arkham City map into the modern Arkham Knight experience, enhancing it with updated visuals and integrating it into the new gameplay systems. It’s a complex project but could offer a unique and nostalgic experience for fans of both games.
A monster task but would be so good I've wanted this from day 1 of the first pc release , i remember during my first play through seeing the low res render of Arkham city just out of reach
That's the idea haha, Arkham Knight is the perfect game to have all the locations since you could drive the batmobile to those locations. As far as I know I don't think it's currently possible to import maps into the game. Hopefully one day it will be
Would be cool but not possible, it would be rebuliding the game in the same engine and there are a lot of issues like memory etc.. the different cities were not design to acomidate driving like arkham city is flooded and bridges destroyed. Asylum is just a few courtyards and a hospital.
That's true, I suppose we could rebuild and use the bridge that goes from the church to pioneers bridge? Also I think it's cool to drive around the asylum, despite that there's not much there, I think it'd be cool to go beyond the boundaries and look out towards Gotham as a whole from the top of the Arkham mansion
there's a bridge near panessa studios. if you use the batmobile and drive over the bridge, you'd be off the mainland. once you're off the mainland and turn right, go straight down and turn right again, there's another bridge that leads to arkham asylum. in the picture it looks there's no path to get to the asylum but there is one in the game
the amusement park i'm not entirely sure on since it's literally in the middle of the ocean lol
i seriously wish it was, if any modder would like to contact me on here for this potential project (that is if any modder would like to spend time on creating it) I'd be more than thrilled to share suggestions and ideas.
how cool would it be though? To drive across the bridge from arkham asylum into the outskirts of Gotham, turn left, keep going forward, turn left again, Across the bridge near Panessa studios leading into bleak Island, drive towards Miagani Island, head towards the bridge on the sharp left (next to wayne tower and that also leads next to the church in arkham city) Keep driving on the bridge past Wonder Tower that leads on to Pioneers Bridge, and then you're in South gotham, Jump out the Batmobile and grapnel your way to the rooftops of the Grand Royal Hotel and look over the entirety of Gotham.
only issue i've discovered is that in arkham origins the road that comes off pioneers bridge is closed off, so some modder would have to find a way in letting the player drive down from the bridge on to the streets of south gotham (the map of arkham origins)
obviously there's importing all of the maps which would take hundreds of gigabytes, but it's worth it lol. all of the bridges which are closed off that lead to those locations would also have to be opened and be replaced with solid textures, otherwise we won't be able to leave the mainland.
i genuinely believe this idea is phenomenal. As previously stated if any modder would like help in making this mod geographically speaking. I'd be more than happy to help.
