About this mod

Adds three unused combat challenges that eventually became the Knightfall DLC.

Permissions and credits
This mod gives Batman, Deathstroke and Initiation Bruce Wayne three combat challenges in Challenge Mode:

  • Who Rules The Night: Set in My Alibi Nightclub.
  • Flesh And Steel: Set in the Sionis Industries Steel Mill Warehouse.
  • Fire In The Sky: Set on the burning Pioneers Bridge.
Each map also has an Extreme version.

The mod also adds two campaigns:

  • Knightquest: Who Rules The Night -> Flesh And Steel -> Fire In The Sky.
  • Knight's End: Ditto, but with Extreme versions.
These maps, in debug level select starts prefixed with "SONY" in their names, are likely leftovers of the devs testing challenge maps set in main game locations to later sell separately (see Deathstroke and Black Mask DLCs). These PS3-exclusive Knightfall DLC maps were in the end cloned into their own edited versions of the locations these are set in, leaving these ones, still set in the main game maps, unused and still in the files.

These maps of course have their own fair share of issues, unfortunately, and I don't know enough about the scripting through objects to fix them. But generally I'd consider them playable. One could consider the Joker and Bane thugs working together an issue, I suppose, though I think I'd rather keep that, it's not the end of the world.

The campaigns and the names for the maps I just made up for consistency with Knightfall, so they're not quite "canonical." Just wanted to add a few to have the maps could be played as part of that system.

Here are the IDs reserved by the mod's BmGame.ini:

  • InstalledChallengePacks=5
  • ID=43-48
  • SID=39-44
  • LeaderBoardID=115-132
Mods using these as well may not work very well together with this one. Not like in a crash sort of way, the game will just pick one of them instead of the other, and boy, they better not try reading predator challenge completion time scores as combat challenge scores.
