About:
This mod introduces the Revolver, a signature weapon of Squall Leonheart, protagonist of Final Fantasy VIII. Despite their name, gunblades of FF VIII do not have proper barrels to fire projectiles but instead use the recoli to accelerate the blade.
What's new
Version 2.2:
* Mod is reworked for B&S U7 compatibility
Version 2.1:
* Fixed SteamVR input processing to correctly track trigger events for non-Oculus controllers
* Recoil impulse value increased slightly

* Mod is reworked in BaSSDK for B&S U6 compatibility
* Slash damager position and length fixed
* Recoil impulse adjusted to work with U6 grab physics
* Weapon size adjusted to match the reference

Installation:
1) Unzip and copy FFVIIIRevolver folder into BladeAndSorcery_Data\StreamingAssets\ folder in the Blade & Sorcery installation folder.
2) Load the game, Squall's Gunblade, The Revolver will be available to spawn in the "swords" section of the Weapon Book.
Usage:
Press trigger on the controller which is used to grab the trigger grip on the Revolver to fire. Recoil of the fired round will give the blade a powerful downwards impulse, further increasing the damage dealt by slash attacks. Firing right before the blade will hit its target will provide maximum damage boost. Keep in mind, Revolver's drum holds 6 shots and must be reloaded after all 6 are spent before it can be fired again(as of 1.0 reloading is performed automatically). Weapon can still be used as a regular sword while out of ammo.

Unlike their real life counterparts or even gunblades from other Final Fantasy games, gunblades of Final Fantasy VIII universe were incapable of firing projectiles. Instead, the barrels of FF VIII gunblades were used to redirect the recoli of a fired blank round upwards to create a shockwave which was used to accelerate the blade downwards and thus increase the damage dealt to the target. These exotic melee weapons were hard to master with only the most skilled swordsmen being able to utilize the full potential of gunblades. FF VIII's protagonist, Squall Leonheart as well as his rival, Seipher Almazy, were both trained in gunblade combat.
