Obtained during his time as a Companion, Tam rose to the title of Blademaster after defeating one in single combat, an action that he has since regretted, and claimed one of these swords as his own.
A single edged blade with a slight curve, herons marked into the hilt and etched onto one side of the blade, this is no weapon for the unwary, nor the unworthy. If you believe yourself of the rank Blade master, then come claim your prize.
Tam said it best. This thing isn't worth more than a couple of coppers, and he got it for less.
(Note: This is based off of a design made by a blacksmith from the book's description, not based off of the one from the show (Further Note: the show made this thing into a Katana, which is most certainly is NOT!))
