Changelogs
Version 2.8
You can now add multiple MP3 files to the Quicksilver directory and they will all show up as an option. Note that the game may lag for a very brief period as it loads your MP3 now (since logic for loading MP3's has been moved from on game load to on player demand)
Version 2.7
Added some extra custom timescale options (0.005 - 0.009) below 1.0. Effectively removed 0.0 being an option, which never worked anyway
Version 2.6
Fixed a bug where the customTimescale overrode the game's slow-mo timescale (for real this time, ik i fixed this like 3 times but it keeps coming back)
Version 2.5
Updated to 1.0
Jumping is broken again. Might try to fix later, but we will see
Added sliders to certain menu options
Version 2.4
Fixed a small bug where the sound of the lightning indicators was still audible
Version 2.3
Fixed for U12.3 I guess because some were saying it was broken.
Removed lightning trail since U12.3 broke it and it is now unfixable. You can achieve a similar effect now by putting a lightning-imbued item on your back.
Removed pauseMusic feature for now since it was really buggy
Fixed changing music
Fixed haptic logic
Fixed the custom timescale bug. Should ACTUALLY be separate now and not affect Time.timeScale.
Cleaned up logic in general
Version 2.2
Updated to U12.3
Version 2.1
Updated to U12.2
Players can now play a custom song. To do this, place an MP3 file in the Quicksilver mod folder. With multiple MP3's, it will select one at random. Then, in game, select "Custom" backgroud music
Adjusted the way jumping works
Version 2.0
Players can now jump and move through the air while in Quicksilver. The constant downward force has been removed.
Added the ability to play background music during Quicksilver. Specifically, you can play "Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)" and "Time in a Bottle" (via "backgroundMusic"). You can also adjust the volume of this as well (via "musicVolume"). Note that the music bugs out when colliding quickly into walls.
Players can now temporarily disable haptic feedback (aka controller rumble) while in Quicksilver (via "useHaptics").
Players can now open and use the menu book while in Quicksilver.
Version 1.9
Fixed a bug where trying to use customTimescale would override the in-game slow-mo time scale. You can have separate timescales for both normal slow-mo and quicksilver (actually this time)
Version 1.8
Fixed a bug where you could still access Quicksilver mode when Time Lord was disabled
Version 1.7
Fixed the bug where mod would default the timescale to being incredibly small, causing lots of lag
Version 1.6
Fixed the bug where players could not go below 0.10 custom timescale. Players can now go from 0.01 - 1.0 timescale. Note that the game was not designed to work for timescales below 0.01, so externally tweaking this is not recommended and WILL lead to lag.
Version 1.5
Added the option to turn on/off Time Lord. Use MCM to change this in-game.
Added tooltips and ranges for additional compatability with MCM
Version 1.4
Switched customization mod from Chillio X Menus to HuJohner's Mod Configuration Menu
Version 1.3
Fixed the bug where you were permanently stuck on 70%
Version 1.2
Updated to U11.2 (even though the U11 version still worked fine)
Added Chillio X Menus requirement. Mod configuration can be accessed via the menu book.
Added framework for music (coming soon)
Version 1.0
Updated to U11. Kicking has been added in, but it currently does not work at lower time scales (< 0.15)
HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT I created a Discord server for my mods & beta-mods! Join here!
FEATURES Some of the features in Quicksilver include:
Slowing down everyone else while you remain at normal speed
Customizable movement speed (so you can move even faster while everyone else is slowed)
Customizable lightning indicators (can choose to have lightning effects on your hands)
Customizable time scale, so you can use a separate time scale from the base game's (so you can go into normal slow-mo AND quicksilver mode)
Customizable background music (choose between nothing, Sweet Dreams, Time in a Bottle, or a custom song of your choice)
HOW TO CHANGE THE CUSTOM SONG In the mod folder you get when you download the mod, there will be an MP3 file named "Good Kid - Alchemist.mp3". This is a stand-in song I chose to show you that custom MP3's work. To change the custom song, all you have to do is remove this MP3 from the mod directory and replace it with the MP3 of your choosing. People who use Vortex might have a harder time finding the mod directory, but it's the exact same process for Vortex and manual downloads.
HOW TO USE
To enter Quicksilver: Hold down any trigger and, while keeping it held down, press the slow-mo button.
To enter normal slow-mo: Don't hold any trigger, and press the slow-mo button (so just what you'd normally do)
That's it.
KNOWN BUGS THAT MAY/MAY NOT BE FIXED
Enemies blast into the stratosphere when punched. You're moving 20x as fast, which means your punches are 20x as powerful. There's no way around it.
Jumping doesn't really work at very low time scales. That's to prevent you from accidentally launching into space if you run into a gentle slope. That includes climbing too.
If you move your hand along the handle too much the weapon will fly away from you awkwardly. This is directly tied to how I have to edit the values for weapon use in quicksilver, so there's also no way around this.
The sounds at low rates are really terrible to listen to.
Enemies sometimes slingshot back to where they were standing. Idk why, and idrc.
Jumping kinda broken, cry about it
