not to sound rude or mean but the idea half swording is kinda dumb. To be clear i'm not saying your dumb just the idea of half swording is dumb. the game is intended to be realistic by WarpFrog even though there is magic and holding the sword by the sharp blade and swinging it around like a bat would slice your fingers off and if you block an attack like you said your hands would be mangled no matter if you wearing armor or not. because if you are wearing armor your fingers would be sliced off because the armor's hands have no metal on them so you can grab stuff without restriction so your fingers would be sliced right off. sorry if this sounded rude i just had to get this off my mind
