About this mod
Mod to make it so you don't have to build your character. Use any weapon you want when you acquire it and do balanced damage with no upgrades in every area. Leveling completely disabled, game is scaled around your starting class. Blood or Bullets cost 1 echo. Adaptation of my Elden Ring mod for Bloodborne (in some ways better).
- Permissions and credits
Bloodborne is the most annoying game to build your character. Everyone uses a cheat dungeon to level up their character, you can never use every weapon you have because of the upgrade system, and your healing is completely tied to currency. NO MORE.
This mod removes the RPG elements of the game to make everything a streamlined standardized difficulty experience.
### NEW FEATURE ###
There are two available downloads.
- One provides all of the weapons in the beginning of the game through the shop so you can use your favorite weapon the entire game or switch around the entire game if you want to.
- One does not provide the weapons, you have to acquire them yourself throughout the game (vanilla).
The Nitty Gritty:
- Removed Scaling on Weapons.
- Removed Weapon Stat Requirements.
- All enemy damage scaled to starting class vitality/defense.
- All enemy health scaled to damage of no upgrade weapons.
- Leveling up your character completely disabled.
- Starting class stats set to Vitality 15, Endurance 35, Strength 8, Skill 8, Bloodtinge 8, Arcane 8 (the latter 4 don't really matter much because weapon scaling damage has been removed).
- Blood Vials and Quicksilver Bullets each cost 1 echo at the shop. This is not unbalanced as you still have to manage your health. Enemies do more damage than vanilla to compensate for higher vitality and defense. If you have complaints about the balancing please post in the post section.
- All weapons high durability (Takes much longer for weapons to become damaged). Repair price set to 1.
- NPC stats decreased to compensate for lower overall damage.
- Buff items and unique gameplay features left untouched (Caryll Runes, Blood Gems) however since scaling has been removed blood gems that deal with damage scaling have no effect.
- Complete removal of NG+ health/damage scaling. NG+ is the same as base game.
### UPDATE 1.15 ###
- Fixed Visceral Attack Excessive Damage.
- Character Starting Stats changed. Everything but endurance has been lowered.
- Bosses now have separate health and damage than the over world normal enemies. Before was scaling all enemies of one area together which tied bosses and normal enemies together, now bosses are completely separate allowing me to increase the damage and health of bosses and decrease the damage and health of normal enemies.
- Low Tier weapons buffed by ~25% each. Weapons I define as low tier: Rifle Spear, Reiterpallasch, Stake Driver, Beast Claw, Beast Cutter, Threaded Cane, Amygdalan Arm, Kos Parasite, Tonitrus, Beasthunter Saif, Bloodletter, Boom Hammer.
### NOTICE ###
- Update 1.15 changes balancing by changing beginning character stats, so if you started a save using 1.1, you need to start a new game to have all the balancing changes.
Installation:
Copy the folder named "dvdroot_ps4" to your bloodborne folder. If you want to revert back to vanilla, delete "dvdroot_ps4" FOR THE MOD NOT THE GAME and rename "dvdroot_ps4_vanillafiles" to "dvdroot_ps4", then copy to bloodborne folder. To get shadps4 working, look it up on youtube.com.
I hope that shadps4 becomes stable super fast because the modding community is going to blow up !!! And I've wanted to make this mod for a long time but I don't have a hacked ps4. With an emulator possibly bringing it to PC, I've decided to deliver early.
