Guide to Installing Mods for Bloodborne on shadps4 (With Options for Replacing Files or Using Mod Enabler)This guide will show you how to install mods for Bloodborne in two ways:
  • Manually replacing game files
  • Using the Mod Enabler for easier management and backups.

Option 1: Replacing Game Files Manually
  • Download the Mod
    • Download the mod archive
  • Extract the Mod Files
    • Use WinRAR or 7-Zip to extract the mod files from the downloaded archive.
  • Locate the "dvdroot_ps4" Folder
    • Go to your Bloodborne installation directory.
    • Find the folder named - dvdroot_ps4
  • Replace the Files/Folders
    • Inside the mod archive, you may see various folders such as sfx, menu, parts, chr, sound, event, map, mtd, obj, remo, script, msg, other, param, shader, movie, facegen, action, etc.
    • Not all folders are required for every mod. The specific folders you need to replace will depend on the mod you're using.
    • Carefully read the mod's instructions to understand which folders to replace.
    • Important Compatibility Note: This mod has compatibility issues with other mods that replace the *param* files. If you're using other mods that modify these files, they may conflict with this mod.
    • Copy the extracted mod files and paste them into the corresponding folders inside - dvdroot_ps4.
    • When prompted, choose Replace to overwrite the original files with the modded ones.
  • Launch the Game
    • Start the game and check if the mod is working properly.
Option 2: Using the Mod Enabler (Recommended)This method allows you to easily manage and switch between mods, as well as back up your original game files.
  • Download and Install the Mod Enabler
    • Download the Mod Enabler from this link.
    • Unzip the Mod Enabler files into your Bloodborne(CUSA00900, CUSA03173 - version mod made for, CUSA00207, CUSA01363)/dvdroot_ps4
      folder.
  • Prepare the Mods
    • Inside the dvdroot_ps4 folder, you’ll now see a MODS folder.
    • Create a new folder for each mod you want to install. If the mod archive is already sorted with the correct file structure, you can simply place the files in the appropriate folder.
    • For example, if you’re installing "Bloodborne FPS Boost 1.0", create a folder named Bloodborne FPS Boost 1.0 inside MODS.
    • Inside that folder, you should see subfolders such as sfx, menu, parts, chr, sound, event, map, mtd, obj, remo, script, msg, other, param, shader, movie, facegen, action, etc.
      • Not all of these folders are required for every mod, but you should follow the mod's instructions carefully to know which ones are necessary.

  • Extract Mod Files
    • Extract the mod files into the corresponding mod folder you created inside MODS.
    • Ensure that the mod files are placed in the correct subdirectories. For example:
      • dvdroot_ps4>MODS>Bloodborne FPS Boost 1.0>map, etc>...
    • If the mod doesn’t come with proper subdirectories, you may need to manually create them. Always check the mod instructions to make sure everything is placed correctly.
  • Launch the Mod Enabler (JSGME)
    • In your dvdroot_ps4 folder, run JSGME.exe (the Mod Enabler).
    • The Mod Enabler window will show a list of available mods on the left side.
    • Select the mod(s) you want to enable and click the arrow to move them to the right side, which activates them.
  • Play the Game
    • After enabling the mod(s), launch the game. The activated mods will be applied automatically.
