Installation is fairly straight forward, just replace dvdroot_ps4/menu/common.tpf.dcx with your preferred version.
As with all mods, you might wanna back-up the original too
For switch pro controller/joycon support you can use steam input:
(BetterJoyForCemu should also work if you don't want to launch through steam.)

Recommended mods:
If you don't mind losing custom characters you'll want rainmakerV2s vertex explosion fix
For lamp warping and boss rematches try colorsolids Bloodborne enhanced
Keep jumping on accident while trying to dodge and sprint? N3R4i gotchu bro
For sfx fixes try installing Gazu and Xenobyte or Diegos mod (I just use the commoneffects from diegos but your milage may vary)
Also try fromsoftserves visual tweaks and remaster project
Combine all these with theCookLads custom resolution patch and a copy of lossless scaling for a smooth buttery bloodborne experience

For switch pro controller/joycon support you can use steam input:
- Add a non-steam game and select your shadps4.exe.
- Click the cog to get to the properties window.
- Here you can change the name of your new shortcut. To tell shadps4 to open your game on launch, copy the path to your eboot.bin and put it in quotes next to the exes path in "target". Make sure that "start in" is set to the directory where shadps4.exe is located.
- Go to the controller tab and enable steam input.
