About this image
While most of my content on this site has been of the RPG variety, my gaming days actually began with the Real-Time Strategy genre: I played Age of Empires 1 back in the 90s when it was new, and in the early 2000s was an avid player of Red Alert 1, Tiberian Sun, Warcraft 3, and the Battle for Middle Earth series.
I have some of the good old games on CD, as well as The First Decade, and the Ultimate absolutely broken and useless Origin Edition. And when I discovered that there's a category for those games on here, I felt like sharing.
This is Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars, featuring the glorious Tiberium Essence mod. I loved Tiberian Sun, despite its few goofy moments: so you can imagine my surprise when EA walked back on the technology trees of the Brotherhood of Nod and the Global Defense Initiative. Thankfully (as well as surprisingly, considering what came next), the expansion Kane's Wrath gave us the Titan walker tanks in the Steel Talons faction. But TE also brings back some of that classic Tiberian Sun feel to the 3D engine.
This is my favorite thing to do: build up a bunch of Titans and just level Nod. And with the best and most badass music to go with it!
Peace through power, kids. I'm out.
