Well, this 'Shiny and Glossy' term, or as I call it, 'Neon Palmtrees', is the mere surface of what they call Synthwave.
People either bounce off this barrier, stay on it, or sink through and delve deeper.
The first two only know Neon Palmtrees, while those who made an effort and gone inside and reached to the very bottom,
can tell Synthwave is not only 'Shiny and Glossy' or... 'Iluminated'.
Where I am in this genre, and what I've searched for as a Metalhead raised on both 80's and Techno music, it is DARK AND DIRTY.
So, guys responsible for CP soundtrack looked at the Synthwave's cover page, bounced off it,
and evaluated it only by the most popular 'Neon Palmtrees' subgenre.
Which was/is a very ignorant move towards all those tallented ppl who create Synthwave,
many times using CP2077 as an actual inspirtaion for their music tracks,
and for me as a many years fan of Darksynth, that could add a lot to CP2077's 'Dark and Dirty' atmosphere,
and a fan of underground music in general.
But that's how 'outside people' see Synthwave:
'Silly Samples and Arcade Themes...'
