If you have an issue getting CET to work, go on the discord and post in the support section for CET. #-cet-support
The discussion section and the comment section here are not for posting bugs or troubleshooting. (so the discussion forum was removed, as was the bug report section because we want the bug reports on the github page or on discord)
Again, the comment section is not for bug reports. If you have an issue, come onto the official modding Discord or post a bug report on the github page (CET not working for you is not a bug, that's a support issue and belongs on the discord)
Follow the guide before asking for help on the discord.
If installing via vortex, make sure to use hardlink deployment. Before asking for help, remove all previous installations of CET and manually install the most recent version. Vortex screws up, a lot.
Note: We will only provide support for legitimate updated copies of the game and CET. If you're using an older version, you're on your own.
Issue with scopes/muzzle attachments on all weapons, and some Iconics themselves downgrading to lower tiers from Legendary. Fixed by reverting to 1.35.1, but it could also be related to other mods I have like "Quality Rebalance" perhaps...
TLDR: do not downgrade your CET once you have it installed.
Hi guys, if you've been getting the error "failed to resolve address for hash 0x1817231d", it usually means that your cyberpunk version doesnt match the version of CET that you are downloading.
Check the cyberpunk version you are running and download the corresponding version of CET.
Today I discovered the hard way that there's actually a simple fix for a GPU render freeze that occurs every 5 seconds when working with CET windows.
I've been dealing with this issue for a while and couldn’t figure out which mod was responsible for the stuttering every 5 seconds whenever I interacted with any CET window. The freezing even affected HWiNFO graphs on my second monitor. It eventually became unbearable to work with tools like World Inspector and World Builder.
Even uninstalling all CET mods had no effect. Simply moving the CET console window would cause the stutter.
FIX: Clearing the Settings in the Dear ImGui Debugger
It was probably caused by frequently changing monitor resolutions while working on mods, which led to the layout.ini file becoming cluttered or corrupted.
It was a little tricky to get CET to work with the game but i followed the 'Linux' guide using the method of adding version while running "winecfg" but alas didnt work for me on the other hand the latter.. Instructions following up the guide actually worked, going through with "install windows dll" which after installing both runtimes i was able to finally able to bind a key.
Also i figured out attempting the former method you can just add d3dcompiler_47 who knows it worked for me so try it.
Additional notes- replacing version.dll with other mods in bin/x64 will null the workaround for Linux CET an make sure you try out the Proton Experimental if launch fails repeatedly.
How can i reset or change the hot key. It has been a while since i played cyberpunk 2077 and I have no idea what hotkey I have set for the overlay, and now I cannot find it. Where can I find what kind of hotkey I have set for CET?? seriously I can't find it anywhere anymore
Go to Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64\plugins\cyber_engine_tweaks and delete this file "bindings.json"
Keep in mind, if you choose this method, you are deleting all keybinds that you have/had saved inside the CET/Bindings tab, so you will need to redo all of them.
[ 2 ] Editing the "bindings.json" file. Using any text editor (i.e. Notepad; Notepad++, etc), open up the "bindings.json" file. (found in: Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64\plugins\cyber_engine_tweaks) Look for the lines: "cet": { "overlay_key": xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Note: The "xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" shown in the code above will show as numbers for you (at least they should). Change this number to zero (aka "0"). Save and close the text editor. You should now once again, get the prompt to set a keybind for CET the next time you launch the game, and your other saved CET-Bindings will be intact.
Using this mod disabled the ability to take screenshots in game via steam overlay or anything else. I've rebound the screenshot key to make sure that nothing else has the keybind and i'm not sure what else to do in order to get them back working again. I can't even use print screen key on keyboard in game either.

Examples~
My current "bindings.json" file:
{
"NeonRims_ColorControl": {

"skip_radio_song": {

}
After I edited (to get the CET keybind prompt):
{
