  • SmartMesh Features
  • Compatible with all bodies
  • Optimized for both Gameplay and Photomode

Attention: This mod, as well as the modpage, have been overhauled to Update 3.0. If you're updating from a previous version, see the Changelog and the additional Update Notice at the bottom of the description or in Posts.

Colors & Items:

❯❯❯ Colors
This mod includes color variants for my 20 Military Sets. It requires my Military Palette Texture Library. All items are designed to match my other military mods updated to 3.0 or are new releases. Camo patterns are monochromatic and each set features a distinct accent color.

This mod includes additional color customization of the LEDs for the Mask's visor, mask, headset and cables. There are 10 available colorsOrange | Blue | Green | Purple | Yellow | White | Red | Magenta | Cyan | Lime.

The Ballistic Mask kit has by default white LEDs on the headset and cables, and no LEDs on mask and visor.

An optional file is available that adds the Punisher skull decal on the Void variant.

❯❯❯ Items
Initially, this mod included items with identical visual appearance across different sets. To remove duplicates, these items have been merged into single versions, now having multiple set names in their tooltip.

The Cables had variants with the same visual appearances across certain sets, so they've been merged from 20 items down to 10. The mod includes special "Toggle" items that change the mesh of an item when equipped.

In total, 81 items are added by mod:
  • 20x Mask
  • 20x Visor
  • 20x Headset
  • 10x Cables
  • 10x LEDs
  • 1x Visor Toggle

SmartMesh & Modules:

❯❯❯ SmartMesh
This mod has SmartMesh features implemented. By using custom tags, ArchiveXL will adjust meshes based on what you're wearing. These conditions only work between my mods. Conditions affecting the items in this mod are listed below:

Ballistic Mask Visor:
  • (Both Vs) - Default: The Visor is stowed.
  • (Both Vs) - The Visor Deployed toggle positions the visor in front of eyes.

Ballistic Mask Headset:
  • (Both Vs) - Default: The Headset comes with a white static diode.
  • (Both Vs) - Equipping an LED item will change the static diode to the color of the LED item.
Ballistic Mask Cables:
  • (Both Vs) - Default: The Lens comes with white LEDs endpoints.
  • (Both Vs) - Equipping an LED item will change the LEDs endpoints to the color of the LED item.
  • (Both Vs) - Equipping the Ops-Core FAST helmet will auto-adjust the cables on top of it.

Ballistic Mask LEDs:
  • (Both Vs) - Default: Equipped LED items will stay hidden until any item from the Ballistic Mask kit is equipped.
  • (Both Vs) - The LED items change the color of all LEDs from the Ballistic Mask kit, except the headset's blinking diode.
  • (Both Vs) - The Visor Deployed toggle positions the visor LEDs in front of eyes.

Other notes:
  • The classic implementation would require at least 130 items to cover most important combinations.
  • Due to ArchiveXL limitations, the visor LEDs of an equipped LED item will float if the visor toggle is equipped without the visor.
  • Due to ArchiveXL limitations, the color of the cable LEDs can't be synced with an equipped LED item when they're placed on top of the Ops-Core FAST helmet. As a result, they will always be white.

❯❯❯ Modules
To equip all items at the same time, you need to use EquipmentEx. Find all items from this mod in my Zenitex Atelier by searching "Ballistic Mask". To change the slot of an item, hold F over it in EquipmentEx and change its slot to one of your choice.

There are 6 modules spread across 6 slots:
  • OutfitSlots.Mask: Mask
  • OutfitSlots.Glasses: Visor
  • OutfitSlots.EarLeft: Headset
  • OutfitSlots.EarRight: Cables
  • OutfitSlots.AnkleRight: LEDs
  • OutfitSlots.ToenailsRight: Visor Toggle

Refits & Garment Support:

❯❯❯ Refits
This mod has Automatic Refit Selection implemented. ArchiveXL will auto-load the correct refit depending on the body installed.

Available means a refit was shaped specifically for a body mod, while Compatible means that an existing refit already works with another body mod (e.g., Vanilla Female will always work on EVB). Body mods not listed below will by default load their gender specific Vanilla refit.

This mod is compatible with both Vanilla Female and Vanilla Male as well as all body mods.

Attention:
On new releases, there will be support only for Hyst body mods. You may request other refits in comments and I'll make them when I get the time. I will not do refits for body mods without an ArchiveXL Tag.

❯❯❯ Garment Support
Garment Support is not implemented as of right now. Garment Support (GS) is a feature that the game uses on vanilla clothes to morph garments that would otherwise clip (e.g., Shirts will be tucked in pants). For this to work, both clothing items must have GS enabled.

Gameplay Features:

❯❯❯ Responsive NPCs
This mod features support for Responsive NPCs, a mod that makes NPCs react to certain factors, such as the clothes you're wearing. The items in this mod have various tags used by Responsive NPCs. This mod is not required for the Ops-Core FAST to work.

Documentation for the tags listed below is available on the ResponsiveNPCs modpage:
  • Despite this mod's military theme, the items have not been tagged with Military tags to avoid negatively impacting detection.
  • The Mask, Visor, Headset and Cables have been tagged with FearReaction.
  • All items that belong to factions have been tagged accordingly. Lazarus is canonically affiliated to Militech.

❯❯❯ Stat Bonuses
Certain items in this mod provide a small custom stat bonus. Your primary stat increases should come from cyberware and leveling, as intended by CDPR. As a result, the stat bonuses from my clothing mods will always be minor but still reflect a realistic benefit based on their material composition and body coverage.

The following items have stat bonuses on them:
  • +12 Armor - Mask
  • +12 Armor - Visor
  • +4 Armor - Headset
Attention: As of right now, their stat bonuses only work if you equip them in the vanilla slots.

❯❯❯ Quality of Life
This mod includes shadow meshes. These are separate, low-poly models used by the game to cast shadows from clothing in FPP with RT or PT lighting. In Photomode, high-quality shadows are cast directly from the visual model instead.

Each item in this mod has a unique tooltip that displays its faction tag (if any) and its set name(s). The tooltip is a short description that appears when you hover over an item.

The items in this mod have been configured to not obstruct vision during gameplay. Modded items that extend over the head, face or are close to the player's FPP camera may block vision if not configured correctly.

Requirements & Compatibility:

❯❯❯ Compatibility
This mod is compatible with game version 2.12a or higher. It does not require the Phantom Liberty DLC. This is because it uses ArchiveXL features from versions developed on 2.12a and above. Recent versions of ArchiveXL do not support older game versions.

All files in the mod have custom paths and unique names or IDs. Conflicts with other mods should not be possible.

❯❯❯ Requirements
This mod was developed with EquipmentEx in mind. As a result, ArchiveXL, EquipmentEx, CodewareRedscriptTweakXL, RED4ext and the Military Palette Texture Library are mandatory

To preview and purchase the items in a lore-friendly way, Zenitex Atelier is highly recommended.

Responsive NPCs is optional, use it only if you want the clothing tags to take effect.

Mandatory requirements:

Optional requirements:

Download & Installation:

The mod is available as a single main file. Install and enable it via Vortex by pressing the Mod Manager Download button. For manual installation, click the Manual Download button and extract the contents of the zip file into the Cyberpunk 2077 root folder.

The correct files paths for the main mod archive are as following:
  • archive\pc\mod\scorpion_military_ballistic_mask.archive
  • archive\pc\mod\scorpion_military_ballistic_mask.xl
  • r6\tweaks\scorpiontank\scorpion_military_ballistic_mask.yaml

Obtaining & Usage:

❯❯❯ Obtaining
This mod adds standalone clothing items to game via ArchiveXL. The items will not be added automatically to your inventory, instead you need to acquire them in one of the two ways:

  • Use my Zenitex Atelier to preview and purchase the items in a lore-friendly way. Download and install both this mod and the Zenitex Atelier (together with its requirements), go to any computer in-game and access the store.
  • Use the Item Codes available in the Articles tab or inside the text file that came with the mod archive. Copy-paste these codes inside the console of Cyber Engine Tweaks and the items will be instantly added to your inventory.

❯❯❯ Usage
To find all items from one set in my Zenitex Atelier, use the search bar in the Atelier screen and search for your desired set (e.g., Alpine).

To use the clothes, equip them like any other garment available in the base game. EquipmentEx is highly recommended because you will not be able to equip all items at the same with the 6 slots available in the vanilla game.

Further thanks to the following people for taking previews or their involvement in the 3.0 Update of the mod:

Update 3.0 Notice:

This mod has been completely reworked. The changelog covers most significant changes. Due to major changes, the previously released version, now called legacy, is still available for download in the Miscellaneous section and is compatible with version 3.0.

Both versions can exist together without conflicts. Items from the legacy version remain purchasable in the old Tac Threads Atelier, while the updated ones are in the new Zenitex Atelier (both shops are from the same modpage). However, I highly recommend using version 3.0, as the legacy version is no longer supported.

The old mod page is archived in the spoiler below, and all legacy version previews are labeled accordingly. New previews have been added at the start of the image carousel and are labeled "New".

Description:
Modular Military Mask - Comprehensive, modular, military styled headgear kit found on NPCs, converted for player use. A heavily requested mod, with development having started 2 months ago.

This set of items originates from the NPCs found in Phantom Liberty, specifically from the Barghest Troops. Their mask is different from the options available to the player and also features LEDs integrated both on the visor and on the mask.

Modules:

The headgear is split into multiple, single modules, allowing full customization of the headgear and high compatibility with other face and head items.

Additionally, I have added a set of tech goggles (Vanilla Player/NPC) and a balaclava (DLC NPC Exclusive) as additional accessories to complement the rest of the headgear, or if you don't have other mods adding these.

A secondary item, called "Hair Hider" has been added in case you want to hide your hair without wearing a Balaclava.

The entire headgear is split into these individual items:
  • Mask
  • Mask LEDs
  • Headset
  • Cables
  • Visor [Up]
  • Visor [Down]
  • Visor LEDs [Up]
  • Visor LEDs [Down]
  • Balaclava
  • Goggles
  • Hair Hider

Variants:

This headgear has been colored in the same color palette as my other military mods. It features the same rough, non-reflective appearance as my armor pads, but I kept some of the metallic elements as well.

There are 28 different color sets, 20 solids and 8 custom camo variants. The LEDs for the mask and visor are separated and you can choose from 20 different colors. They also serve as the secondary color for the custom camo variants.

The 2 other additional items, Balaclava and Goggles, have 7 non-color and 3 shades of tan variants as they serve the purpose of secondary colors.

If you don't like the camo items but you want matching sets with the armor pads, use these variants instead of the camo ones:
  • Arid - Tan
  • Arctic - Snow
  • Specops - Void
  • Urban/Digital - Black
  • Woodland/Tropical/Pinewood - Black/Charcoal

EquipmentEx:
EquipmentEx is absolutely mandatory to be able to customize this headgear properly. This mod adds a total of 221 items.

The items are split to be worn individually on various head and face slots. I have requested specific slots for this mod which have already been added to EquipmentEx in the previous updates. Get the latest version of it for the headgear items to work properly. If you don't use EquipmentEx, you can still wear the mask and headset in the vanilla Face and Head slots. They will not hide the hair.

The modules available in this mod are placed in these slots in EquipmentEx:
  • Mask: Mask x28
  • EyeLeft: Mask LEDs x20
  • EyeRight: Visor LEDs [U/D] x40
  • Glasses: Visor [U/D] x56
  • Eyes: Goggles x10
  • Balaclava: Balaclava x10
  • EarRight: Cables x28
  • EarLeft: Headset x28
  • Wreath: Hair Hider Accessory x1

Additional notes:
All items in this mod will work in first person view, without any clipping when using weapons. Additionally, if you equip the mask in the vanilla face slot, it will provide a 10% quickhack upload speed stat buff. EquipmentEx is still mandatory to wear the full set.

The main reason why I decided to quickly shift work on this mod instead of the glove project is because I wanted to have something to give you people on my birthday, which was yesterday. So consider as my birthday gift to you all <3

Note that a very small fraction of the previews were taken at different stages of mod development, so if the item doesn't look precisely like in a preview, it is because of that.

Features:

  • Female V and Male V
  • First person compatible
  • 5 Main headgear modules, 28 Color options each
  • 3 Main headgear LEDs modules, 20 Color options each
  • 2 Secondary headgear accessories, 10 Color options each
  • 1 Secondary Hair Hider accessory
  • 221 items in total
  • Wearing the mask in the vanilla Face slot will grant a 10% quickhack upload speed stat increase
  • Colors made to match my other mods

Requirements:

Obtaining:
This is an ArchiveXL based mod that adds standalone items to the game, requiring you to acquire them first as they won't automatically appear in your inventory after installation. Two available methods exist for obtaining these items:

  • Use my Tac Threads Atelier store, which adds an online shop for you to buy my items in an immersive way. Download both the atelier and the mod you want you use, as well as their respective requirements.
  • Use the item codes provided in the zip file or in the Articles tab. Inserting these into the Cyber Engine Tweaks console will instantly add them to your inventory.

Download:
Download a single file:
- Modular Military Mask - Universal: For both genders and any body mod.

Notes:
  • This is a headgear kit that is worn completely on head and face, making it compatible with any body mod.
  • The Balaclava is very tight, clipping may occur with certain face sliders. I can fix this but you need to contact me on Discord to show me the clipping and also test the adjusted refit I'll be giving you.

Installation:
Install via Vortex or manually extract the contents of the zip file into the Cyberpunk root folder so they end up like this:

  • archive\pc\mod\scorpion_military_mask.archive
  • archive\pc\mod\scorpion_military_mask.xl
  • r6\tweaks\scorpiontank\scorpion_military_mask.yaml

Uninstallation:
Uninstall via Vortex or manually delete the following files:
  • archive\pc\mod\scorpion_military_mask.archive
  • archive\pc\mod\scorpion_military_mask.xl
  • r6\tweaks\scorpiontank\scorpion_military_mask.yaml

Compatibility:
  • Works on game versions (2.1 | 2.02 | 2.01 | 2.0) with or without the Phantom Liberty DLC.
  • Will not work on 1.63 and lower versions due to technical changes firstly introduced in version 2.0.
  • Will not conflict with, or replace any vanilla or modded items.

Permissions:
  • You are allowed to use and edit this mod only for your private & personal usage, or for your personal NPV.
  • For any edits that you wish to make available for public use (including porting or refits) please contact me first.
  • You are not allowed to reupload this mod or the assets within this mod (edited or not) without my permission.
