A MODULAR NETRUNNER HAIRSTYLE
The netrunner head port is a very cool piece of cyberware, but it clips with a lot of hairstyles. This mod is the first in a planned series of hairs tailored to this piece of cyberware. It includes the cyberware itself, which has been edited to fit closer to the head, improved vanilla materials for the cyberware (an upscaled mlmask, and upscaled normal map kindly provided by halkuonn - thank you!), as well as 10 bangs/"base options" and 13 braids, buns, and ponytails to choose from. Additionally, there are recolors of the accessories used by some of these hair pieces which utilize colors from The Community Palette Project, offering 64 total color options in three different materials.
This mod utilizes hair assets (with permission) from NoraLee's Lizzy, Spice, and Beignet hairs—check out these mods for some adorable bun & ponytail hairs for MV & FV!
- You don't need another mod in order to use the head port—the cyberware is loaded with the hair itself. This means that you can switch to another hairstyle ingame and not worry about the cyberware clipping through.
- The cyberware included in this mod is fully compatible with my other mod, WIRED - Modular Netrunner Head Port and Recolors. You will need to download the color options from that page, but you do not need the WIRED "Base" archive.
- If you do not wish to use the cyberware provided by this mod, then there is a "NoCyberware" patch file available that will render it invisible, so you can use another head port cyberware mod with this hair.
- Options that already had physics in the files include physics, for both frames. Please note that many of the options were not originally made for both frames and had to be refit, so they may not be perfect.
- This mod is built using UUH4V, so it will not affect NPCs.
- Replaces Hair 10 for MV, and Hair 38 for FV.
- Choose a Base file. The Base file determines what style of bangs (or no bangs) your hair will have, as shown in mod preview pictures. Base files use the following naming scheme: JSILVERHVND_Encrypted_[MV/FV]_[H##]__Base_[##].archive; the highlighted portions will tell you which frame it is for, the hair slot it uses, and the base style.
- ONLY INSTALL ONE "BASE" FILE PER FRAME AT A TIME. - Choose a Braids/Buns/Ponytails file. This will determine what the back of the hair looks like. These files use the following naming scheme: JSILVERHVND_Encrypted_[MV/FV]_[H##]__#[OptionName].archive; the highlighted portions tell you which frame it is for, the hair slot it uses, and which braid, bun, or ponytail style it is.
- ONLY INSTALL ONE BRAID/BUN/PONYTAIL FILE PER FRAME AT A TIME. - [Optional step] If your chosen braid/bun/ponytail includes an accessory (see mod preview pictures), you may choose a recolor option for the accessory. If you do not install a recolor file, it will load the default appearance for that accessory. Accessory recolor files use the following naming scheme: JSILVERHVND_Encrypted_Accessory[HairStyle]__[Material][Color].archive; the highlighted portions will tell you which piece of hair it is for (i.e. "BulbPonytail", "HairStickBun", etc), what material it is made of, and what color it is.
- [Optional step] Additional files include a "messy strands" archive which adds a few flyaways to the base hair and a "NoCyberware" option that nulls the cyberware mesh included with this mod. If you wish to use them, they will be found in the "Optional Files" category.
- Install chosen archive files to your Cyberpunk 2077/archive/pc/mod folder.
- Remove all archive files beginning with "JSILVERHVND_Encrypted" from your Cyberpunk 2077/archive/pc/mod folder.
