♦ Three Scrap Yard Locations ♦

1. Kabuki Shipyard Wreckage
  • Location: Near Kabuki shipyard, in the heart of Night City.
  • Description: The main hub for all your scrapping needs. Conveniently located but offers lower payouts. Perfect for quick and easy access.

2. Landfill Scrapyard
  • Location: Badlands landfill.
  • Description: A bit of a trek, but worth the drive. Pays significantly more than Kabuki, making it ideal for those willing to venture out into the Badlands.

3. Yucca Garage And Salvage
  • Location: Beyond the locked-down border.
  • Description: The holy grail of scrapyards. Pays the highest prices, but getting there is a challenge due to the border lockdown. Only the most daring will reap these rewards. NOTE: This location is unusable without mods to allow you to get back into Yucca after Act 2)

♦ Key Features ♦

1. Map Markers: Each scrapyard location is marked on your world map, making it easy to track and navigate.

2. Interaction Prompts: At each location, you'll find three options:
  • Scrap Vehicle: Select this option to scrap your current vehicle (see "Restrictions" below). Press the button and stand back (the vehicle will explode, so don't be too close to it)!
  • View Scrap History: Select this button to display an on-screen message showing your total number of vehicles scrapped an d total Eddies earned
  • Reset Scrap History: Selecting this option will show you a new interaction with 2 prompts. One to cancel the reset, and one to confirm.

3. History Tracking: The mod keeps a detailed log of the last ten vehicles scrapped, along with the Eddies earned. This information is accessible via the "NativeUI" menu and is shared across all savegames.

4. Total Scrapped Vehicles and Eddies: Track the total number of vehicles scrapped and the total Eddies earned. This data is viewable both in the "NativeUI" menu and through the "Scrap History" interaction prompt. This is also shared across all savegames.

5. Bonus Eddies: Every 10th vehicle scrapped earns you a bonus payout, which varies depending on the scrapyard location.

6. Special Assignments: Occasionally, you'll receive a special assignment with a 1/10 chance when entering a vehicle. If you stay within 30 meters of the vehicle and deliver it to any scrapyard, you'll earn double the Eddies. Stray too far, and the assignment ends.

♦ Restrictions ♦

1. Missing Out: If you get more than 30m away from your current vehicle, the vehicle will be forgotten about and you will need to enter it again/find a new vehicle to scrap. If this happens during a special assignment, the assignment will end and another will not be available for 5 minutes (real life time). There is always a 5 minute cooldown between special assignments (it can take longer than 5 minutes,to get another, though, as the odds are fairly random when you enter a vehicle).

2. Legitimacy: This isn't your typical scrapyard, but let's keep that between us. They pay top dollar because they know you're bringing in the goods, and they know those goods don't belong to you.

3. No Personal Vehicles: Players can not scrap their own vehicles.

4. Prerequisites: To access the scrapyards, you must have obtained Dexter DeShawn's weapon, "Plan B," obtainable only after [not spoiling]. This requirement ties the mod into the rich lore of Cyberpunk 2077, ensuring a seamless and immersive experience.

Installation:

  • Extract to main CP77 install folder or install with Vortex

Uninstallation:
  • Delete the "Night City Salvage" folder from your [CP77>bin>x64>plugins>CET>mods] folder

Known Issues:
  • I don't really consider this to be an issue as most users will likely never touch it, but the "Reload All Mods" button in CET overlay completely breaks this script until you load/reload a savegame (which will fix it 100%). When it breaks due to reloading mods, the script will also continually log errors until you load/reload a save, find another interaction prompt (NPCs/vehicles work), or close the game.
  • The "Show Messages When Scrapping Vehicles" toggle in the CET overlay is not fully implemented yet in v1.1 and will not disable the messages.

To-Do List:
  • Add terminals (or something) at each location to interact with (instead of just having the prompts show when you walk near the point)
  • Add specific locations at each point for you to park the vehicle for scrapping and mark the locations with some kind of game entity (something that you can physically drive on top of/inside of)
  • Add a couple user settings to disable the different on-screen messages for people that would rather not have them show
  • Add an option (or optional addon) that allows scrapping player vehicles. This would pay a lot more Eddies than traffic vehicles, but would remove the vehicle from your player garage entirely (pretty immersive way to get rid of unwanted cars, I'd think).
  • While not super immersive, any user adjustable settings I add will be in a CET overlay window, not a NativeUI menu or anything in-game. This is because the settings are going to be things that I don't really think anyone will be changing often, so I don't want to clutter NativeUI with them.

Special thanks to psiberx and keanuwheeze for Cron and world.lua/interactionUI.lua, and also to @Gulli for a decent chunk of interactionHubs.lua... Also, thank you to TheCyanideX for listening to me ramble and for the thumbnail...
