Cybernetic Overhaul is a complete body replacer for V, divided into three parts: Head, Body, and Arms. This part focuses on the body and provides various options for customization. Each mod in the series is a standalone mod that can be used with the standard body, arms, and head. All models, except for the head, include GermentSupport, but due to certain in-game issues, it only works properly with the body. The arms have issues, and the head does not work at all. All body parts from the Cybernetic Overhaul mods are carefully aligned with each other. Compatibility with the standard body is as good as current modding capabilities allow. However, compatibility with body parts from other mods is not guaranteed, and seams may occur.

Limitations:
  • Currently, body scars and tattoos are not implemented, so they may look odd. It’s best not to use them.

Installation Instructions:
  • Install all required dependencies.
  • Select one body from the main files list:
    • If you plan to use arms from other mods or vanilla arms, you will need a body compatible with standard arms (this is indicated in the description of the specific file). The same applies to the head.
    • If you plan to use the body together with body parts from the Cybernetic Overhaul mods, choose body parts marked with CO compatibility.
  • Extract the archive into the game folder.

Compatibility:
In the vanilla game, V's body is split into four separate models:

Therefore, if we try to combine a CO compatible body with a Standard head, we will get this result:

So, choose models that are compatible with each other, for example, CO + CO or Standard + Standard.
If the compatibility is marked as Universal, it means that the body part is compatible with both CO and Standard.

About This Project:
This is my first visual mod for Cyberpunk 2077. I’ve always wanted to create something like this. I’ve seen many other mods that add various implants already present in the game, like Arasaka Arms or Hades Body Borg, but they always had things that didn’t sit right with me—small issues that broke the overall immersion.
So, I decided to make my own mod—one that would meet my ridiculously high-quality standards, have zero issues, and be absolutely perfect. Oh, how naive I was.
I spent nearly three months working on this, encountering an insane number of problems along the way—so many that it’s terrifying to even think about. This game is broken in so many ways. Every stage of development was met with countless obstacles thrown at me by the game’s engine. Some problems I managed to fix, some I found workarounds for, and some I had to leave as they were because fixing them would require a complete overhaul of the game’s code.
For example, GarmentSupport for arms—it works terribly. In photo mode, it doesn’t work at all, especially for cybernetic arms, where implant elements clip through clothing, and fixing that is ridiculously difficult. For heads, the system doesn’t work at all. For bodies, it does work, which is why in the vanilla game, wearing a tank top causes a seam between the head, arms, and body—it looks absolutely terrible.
And then there’s the shadow issue—an entirely separate nightmare. This is clearly tied to the game engine’s core, with all its fancy ray tracing and overcomplicated rendering systems.
So by the time I reached release, there were still a bunch of minor issues I simply couldn’t fix. But even so, I truly believe that what I’ve created—if not better than many others—at the very least isn’t worse.
I put all my love and effort into this project, so please, don’t judge it too harshly. Don’t go looking for problems—I can tell you right now, they do exist (and I know every single one of them). Just play, enjoy the game, and have fun.
Good luck, and all the best to you!
