One of the things you learn as an artist is that no detail is by accident. Everything from the main subject matter to the tiniest dot in the corner, it all plays a part in how the piece will be perceived. The ability to hang costom artwork and photos to your various apartments was a welcomed addition to the game. However, depending on its size, you would have to sacrifice certain elements of the picture in order for it to fit in the frame. Granted, it's not a big issue, but, it still bugs me.

So, because of that, I've decided to make some templates so that people who make art with the Smart Frames in mind or those who wish to know how big the artwork has to be in order to fit it in the frames best.

This file comes with four images in PNG format. Be sure to use your preferred image editor. (Photo Shop, Paint.Net, etc.)

"Why only four?" I'm glad you asked, Hypothetical Customer! That is because the Smart Frames only come in four different sizes and the templates are made to fit each of these frames respectively.

The titles of the images are the aspect ratio of the pictures themselves.

Two of the images will have a white letterbox or border on either side of the image. These represent the negative space that will be hidden by the frames. Your task is to fit your desired photo within the confines of the letterbox. Have the letterbox present in your final image for best results. These two templates are for the frames that are like the ones found at the H10 apartment.

The other two images are the perfect sizes for the remaining frames. Like the ones found at the apartments in the Glen and Corpo Plaza.

The templates by default are set with the longest sides at 1920. (ie. 1920x1080) You can scale the templates up in order to accommodate 4K images, just maintain the aspect ratio. If done right, when you go to hang your picture up, you won't have to adjust anything.

I hope this helps someone. If not, that's cool, too.

All art belongs to their respective artists.
