Worried about your game performance?
Or maybe you'd like just to check some settings tuneup results?
A simple frames per second rate monitor may help to find how it performs:
What it does:
this is a simple tool to show an approximate frames per second rate (fps) based on the game program run rate.
This gives you a simple single value overall performance overview.
The rate is calculated on the game program loop run time base - as a single frame is generated within a single program loop step and the program loop rate depends on the overall computer hardware performance this is the rate at which the game sends video frames to the video hardware.
The mod shows a window with the current and the average frames per second rate measured realtime during the gameplay.
The higher the rate the better the performance (my machine is obviously underperforming ;) )
What it does not do:
this is not a high precision tool and it's not intended to be one.
If you need more precise measurements, higher detail level, advanced data analysis and presentation there are renowned third party tools available elsewhere.
Why would one use it instead of more advanced tools?
for it's simple , easy to add and easy to use :)
And unlike the other tools it works inside the game program loop that generates the video frames. So it "knows it" from the inside.
It's also fully compatible with the game itself.
Yet of course it's not meant to replace the advanced external tools if you would need one to fine tune your video hardware.
How to use it:
The mod requires Cyber Engine Tweaks
You need to set up a hotkey to show/hide the monitor window.
Press the key to show the monitor.
Press again to hide it.
By default it's hidden and inactive until you press the key.
If you want to move the window to some other place you need to open the CET overlay and drag the window title bar to the desired location.
That's all as it's just a simple monitor :-)
Issue reporting:
If you experience some unexpected mod quest functionality on the supported game and CET versions please first verify it with all other mods disabled (with the exception for the required CET platform) before reporting.
The mods types that may affect this one functionality typically are:
- the redscript mod files in the \Cyberpunk 2077\r6\scripts folder
- the CET mod files in the \Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64\plugins\cyber_engine_tweaks\mods folder
- the REDmod mods in the \Cyberpunk 2077\mods folder
Please note 99% of issues come from incompatible mods, corrupted data in game saves, unhealthy game install base or corrupted mod install.
I reserve the remaining 1% for unknown yet mod bugs.
Install or update:
manual:
- download the zip archive and extract
