Well, while i was browsing the scripts files for implementing this mod, i found some built-in cheats there, so instead of modifying the files for changing ammo capacity, i just enabled the Infinite Ammo cheat, and what do you know, the official way on how it works is:

it starts with what you have in weapon magazine and ammo count when you pull up your weapon, when you shoot, it always decreases the ammo from the magazine until it needs reloading based on the weapon type, with the next round of shots after reload, it starts refunding the bullets to the total ammo count until its full again, and so on.

i noticed that sometimes, it doesnt refund bullets to total ammo count and depletes the whole ammo especially when shooting at thin air, but you will still be able to reload even if your ammo count is zero.

i tested this on various weapons and it looks like its implemented properly as its baked in the game itself.

Installation:

Install RedMod DLC v2.12-v2.21,Download the archive and extract it to mods folder, Make sure that the structure when extracting the archive is not nested into another folder, then move next to deployment steps below.

Auto Deplyment Method:

1.For steam and Epic, enable modding In Game Launcher, for Galaxy, enable modding in settings, then launch the game, for more info read this:

REDMod: Usage - Cyberpunk 2077 Modding (redmodding.org)

Manual way to deploy the mod using RedMod tool without using Launcher Clients, this needs to be done once and then you can launch the game normally:

1. open command prompt, Go to redmod bin folder by typing (including the quotes)

cd "[GAME_PATH]\tools\redmod\bin"

(if the folder didnt change, then type the drive letter that has the game installed on, as an example) :

D:

and then hit enter.

2. Type this command:

redMod.exe deploy

You should see it deploying all the mods you have copied to "mods" folder.

3. Go to Cyberpunk shortcut and add -modded, so it should look like this:

"[PATH_TO_GAME]\REDprelauncher.exe" -modded

If you are launching the game via steam/Epic, you may need to add -modded to launch arguments via the client itself for the game.

To Uninstall:

1. Delete the mod folder from Mods folder.
2. If you have used the Manual way for installation, then just repeat it till step 3, and it will remove the mod.

IMPORTANT: I havent tested this with other than my mods (all of my mods work fine together), not sure if it will create a conflict or not, and im not responsible for any damage that might happen to your game files, use it at your own risk.
