HAVE YOU EVER WANTED TO INSTALL A SKIN WITH A NEW SKELETON, BUT NOT WANTED TO BREAK YOUR OTHER SKINS?
Well have no fear! This utility was designed with the express purpose of taking in a skin mod as an input and outputting a fully-functional standalone mod that you can dump into your mods folder. It will be identical to a base-game class, but have the skeleton of your new class, as well as fully working skills, barks, audio (most of the time), and unique trinket compatibility!
There are detailed instructions for the mod in the download, which link to a google doc that tells you EXACTLY how to do things. Please please please I beg of you follow the instructions there.
You need java for the utility to work. I have a link in the instructions you can follow.
If you have any questions about how this project was coded or how it works, please direct any inquiries to my discord, mizurain#0001.
Some Caveats:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. This utility only works on Windows for the Steam version of the game.
2. This utility requires you to upload to the steam workshop to generate some much-needed files. This isn't necessary, but this is the easiest way of doing it with minimal user error possibilities. If you know how to do it without uploading, then you can feel free to do that.
3. You may want to modify the appearance rates of your heroes in the stagecoach, as you are effectively doubling the frequency of characters when you use this tool. (These can be modified in the info.darkest file in the heroes/classname directory)
4. This utility won't work on a class that someone has already turned into a standalone mod with a unique name. It only works on "skins".
