Hello! PROJECT HELLSCAPE is a comprehensive visual transformation of Darksiders Warmastered Edition utilizing ReShade v6.3.1. The modifications here are extensive, resulting in a distinctly different atmosphere aimed at creating a "Hellscape" tone and vibe. This was achieved by utilizing 13 unique filters in ReShade, which might result in a minor drop in game performance. If your graphics card is compatible with Frame Generation features, I strongly suggest activating that option.This mod represents a significant upgrade from my previous work, Ultimate Graphics Overhaul 2023. While that version featured only 7 active filters, this new mod includes a total of 13. You can expect much more vibrant colors, deeper shadows, HDR enhancements, and improved anti-aliasing with DLAA and FXAA, along with sharpening and additional effects. For optimal image quality, please remember to turn off the Vignette and Chromatic Aberration settings in the game's graphics options.
To install, download Reshade 6.3.1 and launch the application. Find your Darksiders1.exe file by right clicking the game in your Steam library, hovering over "Manage," and selecting "Browse Local Files." After locating the game's executable, ensure that you enable all the effects and packs listed in ReShade. It's important not to skip any, as they can all be selected for installation simultaneously. Once the installation is complete, start your game and let ReShade fully load all effects. Press the HOME key to access the menu. By default, the preset will load automatically after downloading. Make sure to place the preset file in the same folder as Darksiders1.exe for it to function properly.
