Hi¡ been trying this amazing mod but sadly got softlock in the Rotten boss´ arena due Ancient Dragon spawning outside the walls, unable to fight/interact with the Dragon, presumably in his idle position; first thing i´ve tried was un-randomize the run using the tool, unfortunately; that issue stills remain on vanilla (maybe due the boss fight already started, so the game didnt restore the Rotten, just a supposition, correct me if im wrong), then i re-instaled the whole game (1.03 full pack) keeping only the save file, but the problem carries on, the boss fight stills ongoing and no boss on sight.
I was wondering if there is any salvation for this run before i give up (King´s ring is on the DLC behind that boss, so pretty much a game over) or maybe i didnt un-randomize properlly. The seed is: Enemy 219068727716872 - Items 49862199318790
Sadly no way of fixing it. I recommed either getting Cheat Engine and bypass the boss fight or using desperate measures in the program to get the Kings Ring
im afraid i have to report another bug: Desesperate measures didnt work with Keys, maybe due the cat in Majula doesnt have a key section on her shop, Adding the King´s Ring was easy, but add the Fang Key (for example) not found anywhere on shop.
Author, could we also be having a way to create our presets to appoint which spot might be spawning what kind of enemy like thefifthmatt's randomizer for sekiro? I saw a guardian dragon at things betwixt and it just stuck itself to death, the place's too small. If I could have it randomly spawned at some more reasonable place it would be so great.
Did a test seed, had the ambush at the top of the FoFG replaced with at least 60% DLC enemies. Got my ass handed to me; 10/10 Mod. Thank you for making this.
It will try to scale late game enemies like DLC enemies down for early game areas and early game enemies like Forest of the Fallen Giant enemies up for late game areas. Scaling down means less hp and dmg, scaling up is more hp and dmg.
EDIT: as it turns out, it crashes if I linger on the title screen as well, so it's not just the character. I uninstalled, deleted all the files that were left, and the clean install runs fine even on that character. I've excluded DS2's folder from my antivirus even though it didn't seem to do anything just in case it stealth blocked something that corrupted the files. If somehow it happens again, I'll report back, but hopefully it was a one-off.
So I was having a great time for the past few hours with this mod but I appear to be facing some kind of area corruption somehow? I'm in Huntsman's Copse, the bonfire in the building, and every time I load that character it crashes within about two seconds, but it varies, sometimes it's as soon as I load in. I was playing through the area just fine until I respawned at that bonfire for the first time, which is where the crash loop started.
I've rerolled the seed, lowered the enemy count, derandomized enemies, but it doesn't make any difference to the crashing. There's not enough time to travel to Majula, I've tried repeatedly, hoping that maybe I could just avoid this seemingly bugged bonfire. I hadn't had any crashing or even hitching prior to this and I just downloaded and installed it today so it's the latest version.
The only oddity I've encountered other than this crash issue is that my camera has been doing this odd heartbeat-like pulsing particularly when I run, and that only started happening after a seemingly random death. I have no idea if that's connected at all, but I figured it's worth mentioning. No idea if this is a bug, a freak incident, or what, but I thought it was worth leaving a comment about. Happy to give more info if it helps in any way.
I don't suppose there's any chance of Darklurker split or Elana summoning eventually working? Are those abilities tied to the boss arena itself or something?
Its difficult because the spawning events are handled in the game maps, not the enemy AI. To make this work you would need to add this behavious to every map, plus for anything to spawn you need a specific spawn point which must be defined before running the game. So I would need to go over every map in the game and manually add a bunch of possible spawn points for the mobs + add those to the events in the maps + some way of figuring out which point is the appropriate one in each situation. Darklurker doesnt really clone itself, there is an invisible copy of the boss on the arena that its made visible and moved when Darkluker does the cloning. In fact there are a bunch Darklurker clones in the arena, they are desactivated and invisible.
Fun fact: If Darklurker spawns on Elana arena it can summon Elana's ads while doing the orb attack
And this is what you would be supposed to do for an actual enemy randomizer, to be frank. No one is gonna complain if the executioner chariot doesn't play like the original if it spawns in a different area, but if a boss like Skeleton Lords softlocks you forcing you into cheat engine or parrywalk skips (because one or two bosses do not spawn because they die before entering the arena), there is something obviously wrong, and that's the point where you should add custom behavior for that boss arena, or at least give the option to disable multiple bosses for specific fights if that's "too hard". I had to restart my run twice because of all these technical problems, and that's not fair.

Sometimes I’ll have a four hour run at work then i go to lunch come back boot up the save and it just keeps crashing, and i will have to make a new save.
haven’t seen this yet on My desktop but I’m running a older dell G3 at work.
Is it possible to remove the Black Dragon Set from the random pool? They are like a chastity lock that traps you. And once you die they are completely gone, I don't see the point in picking them up when you can just pick up the Dragon Head Stone and Dragon Torso Stone and use them.
From the randomizer folder go to data > item_rando > Items > Items.txt Search for the dragon armor and set the second column from 1 to 0 Save the file and restart the randomizer program

For bosses scaling is relative to the boss arena
