About this mod
A modded expansion and suite of fixes for Dark Souls Remastered
- Permissions and credits
Dark Souls is great, I love it, but it's not without it's jank and glaring game design issues that have nothing to do with skill or "gitting gud". The game also has a lot of inaccessible areas and cut content that I'm sure has captured our imaginations. Project Light Souls is simply my attempts at fixing and expanding the game in one growing collection. Despite the grandiose name, like all of my mods, these are just tweaks I'm making for my own personal use first and foremost and I release them publicly just in case anyone has wanted similar changes but doesn't have the modding knowledge or time to do it themselves.
That being said...

Broken collisions will be fixed, primarily ones that cause awkward deaths but also obscure cases like ones covered here in illusory wall's video on collision.
Existing areas will be expanded, filling in blank areas left untouched due to 7th generation console limitations, adding more cohesion to the world like adding elements of Oolacile back into Darkroot Garden and making encounters more memorable and enjoyable to fight through.
Implementing items/weapons/armor/rings from other soulsborne games. Adapting lore for items that aren't originally from games in the Dark Souls series to fit in-universe, balancing them to work in the sandbox and adding them to the world in immersive ways. Items from Demon Souls, Dark Souls 2, Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3 are already in the mod with more planned.
Oh, and I fixed Bed of Chaos
