Alright heres the deal, this mod does not work the way i want it to but it does spawn npcs upon loading the spawning platform. I am uploading this so that other modders can see what i've done and hopefully we can collaborate and get to the bottom of how to get this to work perfectly. In order for this mod to work you must have the debug menu mod installed. You press ctrl+backspace to pull up the menu From there you go down to the QA Menu press right arrow, then go down to populationdebugplatform. Upon loading this this instance that i have set up will spawn 50 swarmers but not all at once. Also you can only do this once upon an instanced game meaning that you cannot turn off the platform then turn it back on and it will spawn them again you would have to load a save and start it over. The platform that will spawn will present boxes that you walk into and will pull up text giving you instructions on how to spawn specific NPCS. This does not work. My hope is that other modders can look into the file that i have edited at the bottom of the folder structure that i have set up in this mod. You must have the asset editor designed by Kaihelios. The following link will take you to that application https://github.com/kaiheilos/Utilities. Since this is not a pak you will not have to extract anything you can simply pull up the data and go through and edit it. I am impressed that i found this file after many hours spent searching for it but im depressed that it doesnt work the way i want it to. Like I said my hope is that we can work together and find the solution to this problem that we are presented with. I know thousands of people would download this mod if it worked properly. I dont even care if you find the solution and upload it under your own name as long as it gets uploaded and everybody can use it including myself i will be happy. I have three assets one being the PopulationDebugPlatform.umap under the ORWorld folder directory and i have included a second and third asset that i did not touch but im almost 100% certain that theyre going to be needed in order to make this thing work properly. The second asset is under the AmbientSpawn directory and the third is under the debug directory folder. There may or may not be a fourth asset out there. One of these files has a hidden switch im pretty sure that activates the spawner to work properly.
I invite you all to dig through these files. I cant guarantee that its safe to just change anything willy nilly so be careful and try to understand what the line item is talking about before you change it.
Anyways good luck and lets figure this out because it would be badass to just spawn whatever you want whenever you want. personally i want to spawn swarmers inside encampments and see what happens.
