Instalation: Unpack with winrar or 7zip and put DeadIsland2SaveGame.sav in your save folder
EPIC: (%LOCALAPPDATA%/DeadIsland/Saved/SaveGames)
STEAM: (%LOCALAPPDATA%/DeadIslandSteam/Saved/SaveGames)
Using the with DLC1 file or with DLC1 & DLC2 file you may unlock some skin but i don't exactly understand how it works. (some people unlock some skin and other don't)

With the help of a friend we found out that on steam you need to have a steam save then put steam on offline mod, delete everything inside the (%LOCALAPPDATA%/DeadIslandSteam/Saved/SaveGames) folder, then put the one you downloaded in it, then launch the game while steam is offline play a bit till it save (changing zone should work), then quite the game put steam back in online mod and finaly steam will ask you if you want to keep the save that's on your computer or use the cloud one and you need to choose the one on your computer.
