About this mod

Reskins the military suit to look more like a hybrid of a normal military suit, Isaac's engineer RIGs and also some elements from the Elite Advanced Suit in Dead Space 2.

Permissions and credits
As good as the Military Suit is gameplay wise, I've never been completely happy with its overall look. Compared to the previous Engineering suits, it just looked out of place and the white made it look too clean.

So this has been my attempt to fix that, and at the same time make it feel like a skin that still belongs in the game. Having all the white recolored to just one color still made it feel a bit boring. Then the idea hit me of coloring some of the parts to look like Isaac's engineering RIG. Thus was born a little backstory that justifies the skin's existence in the lore...

While aboard the USM Valor, Issac salvaged whatever armor parts he could find from the various dead soldiers there in hopes of making a further armor upgrade. By the time he had to leave however, he didn't quite have enough for a complete suit. To compensate for the missing bits however, he instead used parts from his Engineering RIG, he still needed some of them after all. At the same time, he chose to remove the military armor's white paint not only to better match the parts of his old armor, but also try and reduce of chance of him being seen by the enemy.

As for the carbon fiber, well I based that off of the Elite Advanced Suit from Dead Space as I've always found that to be a cool look. I didn't want to make the whole suit carbon fiber though and I also still wanted there to be some gray armor plating here and there, so it was all the matter of finding the right balance, and I think I've managed to do that.

Installation:
Pretty simple really, you will need Texmod to use this.

For Steam and Origin users:
- Rename your game executable from "Dead Space.exe" to "Dead Space-ORIG.exe" (Or basically something that's easy to change back to normal)
- Rename the TexMod executable to "Dead Space.exe" and place it in the Dead Space folder with the "Dead Space-ORIG.exe" file.
- Launch game via Origin/Steam so the TexMod exe gets loaded
- While it is open, rename "Dead Space.exe" (texmod) to "Dead Space-TEX.exe" (for texmod)
- Rename "Dead Space-ORIG.exe" back to "Dead Space.exe" and choose this original exe file with its original name through TexMod
