IMPORTANT: Mark your server as modded and make sure people are ok with it until Ghost ship Games adds mod support, so random joiners expecting regular Hazard 5 don't insta-die, rage quit and get angry at you on Reddit.
FOR VETERANS OF MY REGULAR STARSHIP TROOPERS MOD, this mod triples the spawn size, so expect to be swimming in bugs if you don't kill fast enough. If you never tried mods increasing the enemy count, you should start with the regular version first: Starship Troopers.
Furthermore, regular Haz5 swarms vary a lot and some maps can have very little spawns. That won't happen with this mod, spawns will always be between 90% and 100% of the max seed value. This means you will always have intense maps so you need to stay ahead of your ammo and prioritize nitra!!
I don't recommend this mod for player level below 300, and even then I saw high level players run in the middle of a new cave, die and make the mission fail as everybody risks their live or die in rescue attempts,. This is easily comparable to Hazard 6 or Hazard 7.
The enemies still have Haz4 specifications (speed, damage, resistance, ..) as regular Starship Troopers, but everything else is Hazard 5 (friendly fire, fall damage, etc)
Features
- Triples the swarm sizes (doubles on single player)
- 150% XP bonus
- Added a delay before first announced swarm to let you get some nitra first
- All waves will be massive, no map with smaller spawn, regular Starship Troopers vacation is over
- Replaces Haz 4.5, 5 and 5.5 (includes Elite Deep Dive). Only the host needs the mod
NOTES:
- You should use the mod to reduce Escort mission's flying rocks' health to 25%
- You should use the mod to improve Doretta's damage resistance by 75%, as babysitting Doretta becomes a chore when you have 400 enemies in the tunnels
- You should use the mod to make resupplies cost 50 nitra, as you will burn through A LOT of ammo
Installation
Requirements
To host this mod, make sure you have a strong CPU and graphics card or your FPS will seriously go down and you won't be able to play with 400 enemies.
Copy either
- Starship Troopers ELITE xx.x.x_P.pak (If you have the Custom Cap mod with 400 enemy cap set. If not use the next one)
- OR Starship Troopers Elite - 400 cap xx.x.x_P.pak
in Deep Rock Galactic's Paks directory:
C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Deep Rock Galactic\FSD\Content\Paks
Uninstall
Just delete the file from the game folder
