About this mod
This is an overhaul that adds several new areas, weapons, and armors to the game.

-NOTE: This mod was created based on Demon's Souls BLUS30443 (English release) and the text params will be incompatible with any other version of Demon's Souls. I.E. placeholder text will show for items/armor/weapons for non-English releases.)
INSTALLATION-
Simply place the mod folder contents (USRDIR folder and image files) into your Demon's Souls PS3_GAME folder and overwrite the contents when prompted. File path should be (wherever your Demon's Souls game is saved) > Demon's Souls > PS3_GAME <--Place files here.
It is also best to delete your RPCS3 PPU cache. File path should be (wherever your RPCS3 folder is saved) > RPCS3 > cache > BLUS30443(different for other territories) <--Delete the ppu folders inside here.
-Important- It is best to make a copy of your original Demon's Souls game files and install the mod to the new copy. (This is to avoid corrupting game saves and so you can run either Vanilla or DeS Expanded separately.)
To improve load times and other issues you can delete the Demon's Souls PPU cache.
Open your RPCS3 root folder, open the cache folder, open your version of Demon's Souls (BLUS30443 in this case), and delete the contents. Run Demon's Souls and it should automatically recompile new PPU files.
This overhaul adds in new areas to worlds 1-1, 1-2, 1-3, 1-4, 2-1, 2-2, 3-1, 3-2, 4-1, 4-2, 5-1, 5-2, and the Nexus.
- New Archstone that allows travel back to all 3 tutorial levels. (being killed by Dragon God a 2nd time may break the game)
-New character class that replaces the "Priest" class. This new "Adventurer" class allows the creation of a character with all stats equal to 0 (SL0). With 0 Vitality and 0 Endurance the character will start with 400 HP, 80 stamina, 40 equip load. Starts with no weapons, but emphasizes use of items and equipment picked up along the way.

-Masamune (bastard sword recolor/altered moveset) - (based on the Masamune from Chrono Trigger) Found in 1-2 Lower Boletaria Guarded by Vanguard Demon
-Faded Moonlight Sword (Large Sword of Moonlight +1 to +4) Found in 5-2 (Original Location of the Large Sword of Moonlight)
-Holy Moonlight Sword (Large Sword of Moonlight +5) altered textures and icon
-Torch (cut torch) Found in tutorial. Dropped by the first dregling
-Hatchet (cut hand axe) Found in 2-1
-Tower lance (Tower Knight spear) Found in 1-2 (with Tower Shield)
-Assassin's Dagger (cut dagger2) Found in 1-3
-Spade (cut dagger1) Found in 1-1
-Hoplite shield (based on the PS5 Remake) Found in 1-1 (after Phalanx is defeated)
-Heavenly Wind (HP draining katana variant) Found in 4-1
-Gae Bolg (Giant's Halberd DS1 retexture with the Mirdan Hammer moveset) Dropped by drake knight in 3-2)
-Zangetsu (Large Katana) Found in 4-2
-Black Scar (Dark Sword DS1 retexture) Found in 2-2 (lava pit)
-Flame Plate Shield (Knight shield retexture) Found in 2-2 (lava pit)
-Moonlight Shield (Custom Grass Crest Shield variant) Found in 5-2 (new area)
-Golden Cleaver (gold skeleton's weapon) Found in 4-2
-Great Curved Sword (cut wolf warrior's weapon) Found in 4-1
-Grass Crest Shield (Can be crafted or bought at Baldwin's Shop. Also dropped by red phantom knight in 1-1)
-Gilded Spear (Cut spear retexture. Can use Miracles) (Can be crafted from short spear)
-Sharp Winged Spear+1 to +5 uses Ornstein's Dragonslayer Spear model with custom textures
-Moon Winged Spear+1 to +5 uses custom moonlight spear model and textures (found in crystal cave 2-2)
-Verdite Sword (custom weapon found in 1-1 guarded by The Old Demon Slayer knight)
-Unsealed Sword (custom upgrade weapon for the Verdite Sword. Requires Verdite Sword+4, Legendary Hero's Soul, and blacksmith Ed to craft.)
-Wolf Knight sword (crafted form broken sword +5 and Old Demon Slayer's Soul)
-Lancer Rifle added to Baldwin's shop for 25000 souls
-Rifle Rounds added to Baldwin's shop for 15 souls each
-Magic charge- throwable item that explodes on contact. Does magical damage and knockback. (enemy drops and in shops)
-Jar of Flies- throwable item that engulfs enemies in a cloud of flies that drain their hp over time. (enemy drops and in shops)
-Ring of Insight- new ring that boosts item discovery (reward from patches bugbear questline or Adventurer class starts equipped with it.)
Weapon retextures
-Penetrator Sword +5 (blood-red blade)
-Broadsword (deep blue similar to DS1)
-Lava Bow (Red/Orange lava texture)
Adds in new Armors (Standalone armor sets. Not replacers)
-Flame Plate Set (Found in 2-2) Flamelurker boss room
-Drake Knight Set (Found in 3-2) New tower guarded by red phantom maneaters
-Forgotten Hero set (Found in 4-2) New area Guarded by Vanguard demon (on the ceremonial stone slab)
-Boletarian Knight set (Found in 1-1) In front of the mausoleum
-Black Knight set (Found in 1-4) In an alley behind the black phantoms
-Penetrator Armor set (based on the PS5 Remake) (Found in 1-2 Lower Boletaria Guarded by red phantom Penetrator)
-Tower Knight set (Found in 1-4 Guarded by red phantom Tower Knight)
-Ornate Fluted set (found in 5-2)
-Wolf Knight set (found in 1-1 near dragons)
-Param Changes- Ring of Herculean Strength now gives x1.819 item burden = 200 item burden (110 is the base character item burden)
-Soul drops have been slightly increased for some enemies
-Dragon God Form (4 piece armor set found near the Dragon God Archstone) WIP
New spells/Miracles
-Boulder (hurls a boulder similar to the scale miners) (Spell) requires Scale Miner's Soul
-Wind Cutter (horizontal slash of wind similar to King Allant's attack) (Miracle)
-Will-O-Wisp (launches an orb of magic that travels a short distance before exploding similar to the explosive minecarts in 2-2) (Miracle)
requires Hard Demon's Soul
-Marrow Bolt (launches a marrow spike similar to the storm beasts) (Spell) requires Storm Beast's Soul
-Dragon's Breath (sprays a large column of flame similar to the dragon in 1-1) (Spell) requires Small Flame-Scale Demon's Soul
-Great Wind (creates an explosive barrier of wind similar to King Allant's AOE attack) (Miracle) requires False King Demon's Soul
-Stun Beam (launches and electric beam that stuns and damages enemies similar to the mindflayer attack) requires Mindflayer's Soul
Note- New spells replace lesser used spells like "Cloak" because the shop lineup seems hard coded to a set amount.
New spells will unlock as bosses are defeated and some require new soul items.
Other Changes
-GUARUNTEED PURE BLADESTONE IN 4-2!!! (Only one per game cycle) Near the Forgotten Hero set location
-Changes the Black phantoms in 1-4 to have the appropriate armors (Penetrator and Tower Knight Both use the same armor models as the player would)
-New ballista event in 1-2
-New black phantom enemies and NPCs
-Increased number of Shards of Archstone and Ephemeral Eyes across all worlds
-Increased number of upgrade items across all worlds
-Early multiplayer (Items found in tutorial guarded by a blue-eyed knight)
-Restored Tell All NPC. (Mostly working) Appears after defeating phalanx.
-custom mappieces
-new scripts for unique weapon events and archstone warps in new areas for less backtracking.
NOTE- With new scripts and events added, it is best to start a whole new save file or alternatively move to new game+ to reset all the events and their triggers. (If you played the mod with an older character some new events will not work properly.)
Warning - Unexpected issues may occur with online play.
This mod is for anyone looking for a new experience in Demon's Souls and those who enjoy exploration.
As one of my favorite games, I hope you all enjoy this mod collection and find it to be a good reason to play through the game again!
Notes: This mod is not compatible with most other mods. Texture replacers/Lighting/visual mods should work fine but, anything that overwrites scripts and .msb files will break the mod. : ( Sorry. There are some changes that will affect the game that cannot be fixed as of now. The primary examples are:
-Phalanx MUST be defeated to access the lower city.
-Adjudicator MUST be defeated to access the new area in 4-2.
-The new armors/weapons may take a bit to load in. (Has been optimized. Make sure to delete your Demon's Souls ppu folders!)
-Load times might be slightly longer due to more resources being loaded.
-Some enemies may or may not act entirely as expected
-leaving or reloading the game in new areas may cause some issues. [Hopefully this has been fixed]
-unknown bug in 3-1 drops 947 souls. Still looking into the issue. In the meantime, free souls! :D
-This mod will be updated over time.
