Updated to work with Simulator! I'm honestly humbled by the amount of people asking for this to be updated, I never thought this little mod would be a must-have for some people! I appreciate it more than you guys know, happy texturing friends!
Tired of not being able to put text in the middle of the tanker car? How about on the door of the box car? Or the side of the caboose? With Easy Tex you can! This mod patches the UV mapping to flip certain faces on the following cars:
This mod will modify the in-game uv maps, I downloaded and tested this against all of the skins I could download from here and didn't notice any major issues with any of them; If there are any parts of a model that you would like to see patched by Easy Tex let me know as well, and I'll see what I can do!
I've uploaded a few examples, templates and uv maps to the github to aid in creating textures for these patched models, take a look here if you're having trouble.
This mod will exist until there's better texturing support to prevent mirroring in these models, which will happen at some point according to what I've read in the discord; but until then...Easy Tex!
* NOTE: If you have the SlicedPassengerCars mod installed, Easy Tex will NOT patch the model. If you'd like to see the UVs fixed on the sliced passenger cars model you should let the author know! :)
