So you are going to go post this on mods of someone who just learned how to make DMC mods LITERALLY YESTERDAY expecting them to already know this? God, it is people like this that are why I have been considering retiring from uploading mods to this site indefinitely in the recent months.
Yes. I don't expect them to know this. That is why I am sharing this knowledge with them. Why does me sharing information on how to make a mod properly, and not bloat it with useless files, hurt you?
You clearly took this joke'y message in a wrong way. I just wanted to help people, to not make their mods be of insane size, and you took this as a personal attack. If this offended you I am sorry, but I want and need people to know that piece of information
It's useful information with a hint of frustration.. obviously it could be said in a more helpful 'tone' but there's nothing implicitly wrong or toxic with the image. Maybe take a hiatus and come back in a bit?
Deleted my uploaded DMC mods and just going to keep any future mods I make just to myself. I get it was meant to be helpful, but having this posted on one of my very first attempts at modding came off as a bad first impression to me, and just deters me from trying again. I honestly felt like I did OK considering I had to deal with no external help or community to ask (because the only DMC Discord server for modding I could find I couldn't use because I had to have a cellphone number to so much as say hi in there, and I don't own a cellphone), all the guides are outdated, and all my extracts were not properly organized and placed into folders at all (despite what the outdated tutorials showed me) so I had to fumble around for days until I found the right content I needed to use, but again, having this slammed at me just deters me from trying again.
No hate or malice intended- just got a lot stuff going on right now, and this was not something I really needed right now, so I apologize if this in itself came off as rude/hateful/toxic.
