About this mod

This mod lets you plant items directly that normally require you to dig a hole, throw the item in, and replace the dirt. You still get milestone and daily task credit for planting them, but no credit for digging because you did not dig.

Permissions and credits
For all seeds/starters (like fruit) that you plant by digging a hole, throwing the item in the hole, and replacing the dirt, this mod lets you instead just plant it directly like putting crops onto tilled soil. You still get milestone and daily task credit for burying the item, but not for digging (because you did not dig).

To make it work, first place whatever you want to plant in your first (leftmost) hotbar slot. Then, put a termite nest (that you get by breaking the cone-shaped termite mounds you find randomly in the bushlands) in any other hotbar slot and switch to it (so, hold it in your hand). Use the termite nest on the ground just like you would use grass seed, and the item will be planted and start growing. The termite nest will not be consumed, but the item you plant will.

You can only plant on dirt (any kind, such as rocky), grass (regular or mowed), sand, red sand, and mud. (But there is a config option to allow you to plant on paths.) By default, the ground you plant on will change to plain dirt (if it was grass or rocky dirt) just as if you had dug and replaced it normally, but in the config file is an option to leave the ground unchanged if you want to plant on grass or rocky dirt.

This mod does require the ground to be "cleared" first, including of tall grass and of buried treasure, so if you try to plant something and it doesn't work, check that first.

There is a config option to turn on the requirement to have a shovel somewhere in your hotbar, and it will deal 2 damage to the shovel (as if you dug twice) and use the appropriate stamina. This is off by default, so if you want it, you will need to turn it on.

You can disable the mod with a true/false setting in the config file, but the mod is also safe to remove at any time because it does not affect your save file in any way.

This is a standard BepInEx 6 mod, so follow the standard Dinkum modding instructions and put the DLL file in your plugins folder. To create the config file, open Dinkum and immediately close it again.
