one thing i want to mention: uploading my mods files or parts of it on any other site or place is not permitted! contact me if you have questions. i hope you understand. if you just want to link my content with my nexusmods.com link i'm ok with it.
i like nexusmods and i accept nexus mod collections as many people have a use for it. as a result of a nexusmods decision the changes are limiting creativity of mod authors. i respect it as the decision of the site owner but personally do not support it and here is the reason why:
i don't believe that any restriction of creativity (which clearly includes deletion and any changes of creative work like a mod) will ever be a help, a motivation or a support for more and better modding in general. it also does not help getting more quality out of a mod. the opposite probably is the case. downloading not deleteable trash or work, not ready for the public helps no one.
creativity and motivation can not be generated or preserved with any kind of dictated rules or limitations regardless of any other communicated priorities and regardless who communicates them.
anyone who tries that takes into account to destroy trust, creativity and motivation in short and in long term. there is no way around this and no money and no holy words or intentions can change or heal that.
i hope for the future ideas like collections it will be realized in a more thoughtful, optional and better communicated way. imho a free decision and mind is inevitable for creativity and that was clearly a major strength of nexusmods approach until 2021. r.i.p.
