A tale of Eternal Vigilance
Willem Trialmont was an elf. After the First New Exalted March declared by the Chantry to retake Rivain had expended its drive, the Order of Eternal Vigilance pushed back the Qunari. Corenia, his human lover was a human following the Qun, living in the freed country. He came back from the front to find that she and most the whole human population had been exterminated by the Templars. Corenia preferred to die true to her conscience rather than recant her faith. From that moment the Order and the Templars became opponents. The Orlesian Chantry called a Second New Exalted March which failed dismally and almost all Antiva fell to the Qunari.
Around the middle of the century named Storm, Willem Trialmont departed to fight alongside the Legion of the Dead to defend Orzammar. The Hero of Ferelden has made known that he found his tomb near Ortan Thaig.
His sword bore this inscription:
'There must always be another to take up arms against the darkness. That is the core of true family beyond kin and the unifying link that will bring day to night and allow the fallen to rest.'
The elvish love song Rogue Heart has been heard in connection with his memory. But the words of that song are ancient and doubtless originated as a song of happy love in the Dales.
