About this image

This is the Ring of Study.

Traditionally, these rings of lyrium-infused silver are given to each mage upon successful completion of the Harrowing.
The Ring of Study is described as lyrium infused silver. I chose a design that resembled a smaller version of Irving's Ring of Resistance and gave it a light blue tint. Hope everyone likes it.

Let me know what you think :)

I had been mentioning that family issues were delaying the mod. Well, since this delay is going to be continual and I am going to have to reduce the scope of the mod to rings only, I thought I should explain.

My dad had to have surgery for neck problems that were rendering him paralyzed, so he had a lot of pins and bolts put in his spinal column and fused several vertebrae. He is in physical therapy to regain his ability to walk and is in significant pain. Over the weekend, his incision opened back up and that led to other complications and we almost lost him.

This, combined with other issues in my life that have persisted since my mom died nearly two years ago, caused me to tip over the edge. I had a complete emotional breakdown, and in my.. upset.. I, a normally non-violent woman, punched a door. Hard. The door, as it turns out, is harder than my hand. I broke my pinky. Mousing and such is very difficult and painful right now and I need to keep it to a minimum. That said I'm going to try to finish off the rest of the rings and then publish the mod. I really wanted to do the amulets and I still have a fire inside me to finish this mod as intended but I'm not physically capable now. By the time my hand stops hurting, Inquisition will probably be out, and then good luck getting me to do anything else for a couple months :p

I hope everyone understands, and I am sorry.

Back to reading my kindle. With my left hand.

Funny how there is never a feather pillow or foam pad around when you feel like punching things, huh?

No need to be sorry, and you don't owe anyone any explanation. Games and modding are fun hobbies but real life always comes first and anyone of quality knows that.

So, take care of yourself and we'll take the mod in whatever form we get it and whenever we get it. Your designs are amazing and if when you need a break from DAI, you can always come back and add to it, if you want. I have no doubt that people will still be playing and modding DAO for a long time to come yet.

I hope I'm mot speaking out of turn here...
I'll just say what I feel...
Like Kajana said, you don't have to explain anything...
We simple humans can only do our best and , I don't know, hope
that things will get better...maybe punch a door every now and then
There are no Wardens to save us in real life...
So, take care of your family and yourself first and the fun stuff can come later or whenever you feel like it
An awesome mod is always awesome
