Remember when they used to be the bada$$ one man army type who would take on a horde of darkspawns single handedly, bada$$ motto, bada$$ introduction to Dragon Age franchise and cgi trailer back in the day.
The way DAI projected Grey Wardens is bugging the heck out of me since 2014.
Adamant always hurts, watching the army my Inquisitor help build kill misguided Wardens...breaks my heart every single time. Also, I love Cassandra, but when she protests the fact that I don't banish the GW, I kinda want to smack her. Really Seeker? Predictably, the fact that Grey Wardens just saved all of Thedas a decade ago means nothing...and forget the four Blights before that. Like Blackwall says, after a Blight ends, Grey Wardens are the first ones forgotten.
DA:O: The Grey Wardens take men and women from every background, race, and creed in an effort to protect from the Blight. They are often misunderstood or misrepresented, but it is for the greater good.
DA:I: The Grey Wardens follow a single weird tevinter mage because the Orlesian Warden Commander thinks she's gonna stop blights this way (there's only one old god left, come on Clarel), and because the Calling is scary.
Although I wonder if it would be possible to make a mod to add bowstrings to current bow models. BioWare got lazy and failed to put in bow strings, but bows look weird without it.
I think its a very realistic portrayal of how the Wardens are seen by the majority of people . There great deeds seem to be more unbelievable with time but everyone can see the devastation left by the Blight and might wonder why the Wardens didn't stop that. I think Sera comments on the Mages, Templars and her time in Denerim would be quite close to the way most of the people see all these things.
