After a long time I´ll share my old mods again.
I had personal reasos to hide them, but I dont want write a long story WHY.
To be short: Modding went into work, some people werent not very kind and I decided it isn´t worth to share further.
But there are some really nice persons out there who support me and at the end I considered my desiction.
I´ve got a lot of messeges (why my mods are hidden, request and so on) and I lot of messeges I never read. I apologize to those peolple who don´t get an answer from me, but it was just too much.
Okay...enough with that....enjoy my mods and Happy New Year :-)
    Yours
    Shep

Well...I´ve finished reworking my Main HAIRSTYLE DAY Mod file.
All Hairstyles with long strands have now bone weight. It´s not perfect, but looks much better in game.

Don´t know when I´ve time to rework my "Headdress an more" file.

    Hi folks :-)

Because I convert new hairstyles to DAO I decided to reworke my old hairstyle stuff.
Risi have made a great tutorial with the bone weight stuff and I thank her soooo much for this ;-)
This time I´ll release all hairstyles which need a better bone weight.
Don´t know how long it´ll takes but the reworked stuff will defenitely come ^^

When I upload the new files I will reply all your questions which depends on the new files.
Wish you all a good time.
    We´ll see ya!!!!

I just can't get this to work.
I installed this mod along with a bunch others before and it worked great, looked awesome.  Made a character using it.  I still have the character and she still has the new hair.
Now in character creator I have no options for new hair styles.  I just don't get it.  Why does this have to be so hard.

Edit:  Of course, as soon as I post this I figure it out.  Isn't that how it always works?
I didn't know I had to open an exe for CharGenMorph Compiler

    Go to: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Vortex\dragonage\mods\DA_CharGenMorph_Compiler_v126-971-1-2-6-1634087524
Run DA_CharGenMorphCompiler.exe > Compile conflicting chargenmorphcfg.xml files into singular XML file > remove bad references.

This directory is probably different if you're not using vortex, I think you have an additional directory without vortex.
    C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\Bioware\Dragon Age\packages\core\override and then DA_CharGenMorphCompiler.exe

I don't get how there are multiple directories, or if all of my mods are working, but I have some new hair styles so I guess this one is working now.

Thank you! This worked for me, as well. I have never had issues running the mod before, until today. Worked like a charm.

Nowhere is there a DA_CharGenMorphCompiler.exe on my computer after this download so I'm so confused. Can't get it to work at all.

You download it separately; it's another program entirely. Should be easy to find on Nexus. (I've only just found out about it myself!)

I am so confused, How do I use this? I read the entire description page and even when and got the compiler. Yet, what do I do with MAO and TGA files? The compiler doesn't even work for me. Modding is so hard. :( Like, I have no idea how to get the compiler to find the xml file. I have clicked scan and waited and nothing.

Hi! Modding Dragon Age is definitely a little tricky at first, but I hope I can help. :)
First, let's make sure your files are in the right place. To add this mod to your game, you're gonna wanna unzip its folders into the "override" folder in your Dragon Age directory. Mine is in Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/packages/core/override but yours may be a little different depending on your operating system (I'm on Windows 7). Now, you don't need to touch the MAO and TGA files. In fact, you can leave all of those in the Cazy, Hawke, Newsea, and Peggy Sims files that are in the mod's main folder.
Now, Dragon Age has a "vanilla" chargenmorphcfg.xml file in its master files, and this is the one the game uses by default UNLESS there's a chargenmorph file in its override folder. Note that this particular mod has one, and so will most cosmetic mods. Okay, so what this means is that the game can only detect one chargenmorph file in the override folder. That's where the compiler comes in. For the compiler to work, it has to be installed in the right place. My setup for the compiler is Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/packages/core/chargencompiler. I made a dedicated folder just for the compiler and all of its files, just to keep it all clean and organized. Once you've clicked scan in the compiler, you're gonna want to click the big button at the bottom of the window that says "Compile conflicting chargenmorphcfg.xml files into singular XML file / Remove bad references". It'll have a little green triangular arrow on it. Then, you should get a little popup that directs you to proceed to the References tab.
The References tab allows you to see all of the appearance customization options that are available to you in the game. If you did it right, you should be able to see your newly installed hairstyles listed under the entries for the respective race and gender, i.e. Hairs - Human Female Hair will (of course) expand to show you the hairstyles available to Human Female characters in the Character Creator. Now at the bottom of the window, you will see a button that reads "Remove Bad References from chargenmorphcfg.xml file". This will take out any lines in the file that have errors, because those errors can sometimes crash the game or just not function correctly. You can also check which files or lines have errors, by expanding the right sections and looking at the icons to the left of each item. Properly configured references will have a green check icon, and bad references will have a red X. Once you click that button and remove the bad references if any exist, you're ready to restart the game and your new hairstyles should show up in the Character Creation sliders.

TL;DR- Make sure you install everything according to instructions and then use the buttons at the bottom of the CharGenMorph Compiler. If you get stuck or have any questions, let me know. :)

Hi there. I used this mod through NMM before the update you made and it worked like a dream, now it's not working at all. I went through these steps you laid out, and when looking at the references, all I get for these new hairstyles are the red exclamation points that say they're not found? Please help, all my previous wardens that had hairstyles from these now have empty heads and it's awkward >.<

Hi Paichan13, did you remove the old version of this mod? The game may be confused by having multiple versions of the same files and can't process them, which results in stuff like things not showing up in the game at all. Try deleting the "Hairstyle Day" folder from your override, then re-download the chargencompiler and run it as usual. Hopefully that'll fix it. :)

i did just as you descriped : setup for the compiler is Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/packages/core/chargencompiler. click the big button at the bottom of the window that says "Compile conflicting chargenmorphcfg.xml files into singular XML file / Remove bad references.
but it says No chargenmorphcfg.xml files detected, nothing to compile/check.. what am i doing wrong?

Your explanation is simply masterful. I was really stuck with this mod and had never used a compiler before—in fact, I’d never modded anything that didn’t use a mod manager. Your explanation made it clear right away.

Is anyone else getting an odd bug where some NPC hair comes out really really thin and I can see their head underneath their hair? It looks like half of their hair isn't rendering, kinda odd. It's properly installed, no conflicting mods, working on my character but certainly NPC's like Alastair for example, have next to no hair. Does anyone know what's causing this or have a fix for it?

The mod is causing my game to crash nonstop and if I disable it my character just goes bald :(

does someone know how I can make it stop crashing? The problem is not the compability with other mods because I uninstalled them all and this mod seems to be the problem.
