Note: Her original personality and background have striking similarities to Merrill of DA2. It saddens me, but I will be working on editing Amaara to have less of the same background story. I don't think I can change her being the apprentice to the keeper, but I will make her actions and dialogue as different from Merrill as possible.
Basic Description: Amaara was destined to leave her own clan to become an apprentice of the keeper of a northerly clan. The summit of the two was ambushed by Templars and Amaara ran, leaving her miles from her native forests. The warden comes across her at a refugee camp surrounded by humans fleeing the blight. She has no other options and insists that she aid the warden. Amaara is a budding mage, fascinated by the gods of old. You can steer her towards blood or arcane magic depending on your choices and conversation. There are three relationship paths: platonic friendship, romance, or hatred.
**Spoilers**
Origin: Amaara’s family had an innate affinity for magic, spending decades plundering Elven ruins for relics and history. Her older sister, Enansal, who showed an early gift for magic became the apprentice to the keeper at the time of Amaara’s birth. Amaara was taught from a young age that the next in their clan with magical ability would go to the northern clan of Mi’uth, who hadn’t seen a mage of their own blood in generations. She delayed revealing her connection to the fade. Her younger brother, Ammith, would instead become an apprentice. Amaara avoided social interaction, fearing she may inadvertently disclose her secret. As she neared coming of age, Amaara realized that hiding her only talent would lead to a life of anxiety and solitude. Upon her telling the keeper, the clan began its trek north, out of the forest and towards the open plains. A messenger was sent ahead to the Mi’uth clan to meet halfway. The meeting was dangerously close to human settlements, but it was necessary. The keeper of the northern clan was suffering in his old age and would leave the clan without a leader, thus quickening the extinction of the Dalish. Amaara came to accept her fate and further distanced herself emotionally from her family. Unbeknownst to Amaara’s clan, the messenger had been intercepted on his return and was taken to the nearest chantry. The Templars were alerted and formed an ambush to take the Dalish mages to the Circle. They waited for days until the two clans met, attacking after sun down on a moonless night, expecting no resistance. They were met by the arrows of the hunters of the two clans and a bloody battle broke out. Seeing the Templars, she knew they were there for her. In a panic, she ran until her bare feet were bloodied. Frightened and dehydrated, she was found by refugees heading towards Lothering a few days later. They bandaged her wounds and gave her water. She followed them into town despite her wariness at her first encounter with the quick children. Here she encounters the warden.
This mod comes with 4 custom armors. The first will be a very basic armor with the chasind armor mesh. The next two robes will be acquired when you give Amaara certain gifts, one for blood magic and the other with general magic stats. The final will be a set of arcane mage armor.
