Vigil's Keep has always had a great potential. But it was limited by its design, after the Prelude we couldn't even take a walk around the exterior properly. This mod allows the player to explore the exterior - opening possibilities to populate the whole area with soldiers, so it feels like a true fortress.

For years I have felt the exterior is very limited - we meet the world map transition screen almost right after walking out the throne room. I believe the Warden Commander should be able to inspect the whole area, seeing how the fortress fares farther from the throne room. Moving the area transition to the outer gate allows us to walk around the Keep, just like in the Prelude. As I mention in the main description - it opens up possibilites to make the whole place more alive, by putting guards on watch, soldiers training, perhaps even new characters to meet.
The area transition is moved to the outer gate, allowing you to explore the fortress. It's changed for every Keep appearance. For the changes to work, one has to enter the Keep for the first time - e.g. if you upgrade the fortress before inslalling the mod, the changes won't work. The safest way is to install it for a new playthrough.
