Description:

This mod allows you to add 3 new companions on the party selection screen (4 if you're also using my other mod). These companions do not have any discussion, quest, rivalry/friendship.

It should be noted that this mod overwrites the "Char_stage.are" file. It will conflict with any mod that also uses this file (although currently i'm aware of none). It will also conflict with any future DLC / expansions that adds new companions to the game. When that happens, I'll release an updated version of the override file to include those changes.

The mod is compatible with Legacy DLC.
The mod is compatible with Mark of the Assassin DLC.

Finale Update : Added new companions. As a note, the companions based on Mark of the Assassin will need the DLC for them to work properly.

Update 3 : Added new requested Companions

New Companions now are at level 4 (beginning of Act I), to make it easier to set to your level. Simply use the console to add the amount of XP so they'll be at your character's level

Update 1: Added requested new companions

The version II companions have swap-able armor that shows in-game. Be aware that Eleves and Dwarves cannot wear regular armor and so you must uses the meshes instead. See this for references (http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/307/index/7376722#7376731)

Installation:

The installation requires a bit of work on your part. However I made a step-by-step Instruction document to make the process easier.

There's 2 way to install this mod :

1. Download the Additional Companions II file. It contains the Instructions, override files and ALL the currently available companions.

2. If you want a specific party and don't want to bother with the rest you'll need to download the Installation file (it also contain the override file) and the 3 companions files that you want for your party.

If you have any problems with the installation let me know. Don't forget to check the FAQ first.

FAQ

- Can I add more than 3 companions ?

With this mod you can only add 3 companions to the party selection screen. I made it 3 since it makes a full party and didn't see the need for more. That being said, you can always change those 3 party members for 3 other ones if you get bored of them. Additionally, if you also use my other mod (the link will be at the bottom of the page) You can add a 4th party member since he uses another character slot than the ones being used by this mod.

- Why is your characters looking different than mines ?

I currently play at Max Graphic with the High-res Texture pack and various mods that increases appearances. Check the bottom of the page for a full list of those awesome mods.

- Man, why is your Installation guide so long ?

I tried to write it so that even those without any knowledge on how to use the pyGFF or the Override folder can still install this mod to enjoy it.

- Why are the added companion's position so off ?

I messed with the positioning quite a bit before choosing this. The reason for it is that if you use a small companion on those slots (like a thin Elf or a short Dwarf) than the "box" size to click him is very small since they're behind the other companions.

- I added your mod to the game and it worked fine on my first character but I can't find my new companions in the new character I just made.

The installation Process add the new companions slots in the game. however, for each character, you need to add the companions to your save file for the first time.

- Everything was working fine, but I changed my companions and now the Arishok take the Isabella pose in the character selection screen.

You forgot to remove the Previous companion's "Partypicker_*.erf" files from the override folder.

- I followed the Instructions, however one of my companions doesn't appear in the game.

This is probably because when you chose which companion save (the .das files) to copy into your save of the game, you chose the same slot on 2 or more companions. Exemple you chose both "Alistair_add1.das" and "Bethany_add1.das". To fix this simply erase the Bethany slot from your save and instead use "bethany_add2.das" or "bethany_add3.das" depending on which slot is available.
