Templar is Dragon Age 2 new-items mod which adds to your inventory quite large number of desirable (fit for Knight-Templar) arms, accessories n armor.
Dalls_Gear (my player class - equipment series) delivers to you new (not in game) equipment (arms, armors n accessories) - simply said all those necessities you have always wanted to have but could not - as Bioware has chosen not to include / make them so. Only best (DA2) models were used, most of them (arms n armor) are self levelling and they all are well specified / liberally enchanted to be better / more powerful then luck-lustre game offers - so if you like them - they can be used from begging to the end of game.
All of you who are familiar with my Dalls_Gear (DAO) mods will probably have fair idea what this mod stands for but for sake of all others which are not - let me explain it in - detail.
You will get following items:
01/ Five full high-grade - Templar armor sets (including Chantry Seeker n Meredith)
02/ Five enchanted Templar - helmets, hoods and circlets
03/ Two enchanted - Greatswords
04/ One enchanted - Greataxe
05/ One enchanted - Maul
06/ One pair of enchanted - Daggers
07/ Three enchanted - Longswords
08/ One enchanted - Mace
09/ Two enchanted - amulets
10/ Two enchanted - belts
11/ Four enchanted - rings
12/ Three enchanted - Templar shields
There are two versions of this mod: one with (my) textures (posted pictures) and other one without any - chose whichever you like better. If you have these arms n armor / their textures (via some other mod/s) installed or if you already have my (texture mods) Templars, Knight, Villains n Weapons - I would recommend Templar version without textures - otherwise it is all up to you.
To use this mod you need to have access to game (cheat) console - if you do - type command: "runscript dalls_templar" without quotes (quotation marks) and you will get my lot straight into your inventory. If you need / want to get something in-there, more then once just repeat above procedure but as you will receive quite a few (inventory) items (40+) - keep in mind that you need to have enough free slots in your inventory!*
* Standard, by game set low - Maxitems - number can be changed in your character (game) save/s to anything you like so if you like to have loads of choices in your inventory - set your inventory size accordingly before any big or repeated runscript (mod) item call/s. This (size) change needs to be done only once (per PC / your M/F character) and all your consequent saves will keep it. But you need to remember not to buy any (in shop-sold) backpack as they won't add anything useful and will only reset - by you set - (Maxitems) size back to game (very stingy n low) defaults.
To install navigate to your BioWare game folder - one in Your Documents \BioWare\Dragon Age 2 and drag n drop / copy - paste my Dragon Age 2 (mod) folder there. Allow overwrite. That is all you need to do.
If you don't like these new items, simply delete / remove Dalls_Gear_Templar.erf file from BioWare\Dragon Age 2\packages\core\override\
Bugs/conflicts: none known. Arms n armor re-textures like all other I make are aimed at / will work best with (game) GAMMA Video settings in-between 1.7 - 2.4!
Use:
Free to use but if any files included are used for modding ask me for permission!
Enjoy!
Thanks to BioWare for new game.
*Note on posted mod info-pictures: My items and other re-textures go way beyond anything, (allowed) web pictures can represent with any fidelity as they are too small to do that properly so refrain from "wise" comments based on (only) them. This (picture based) comments serve no real (community) purpose and are quite meaningless to me. Or to put it simply - Your game will show them (my re-textures) in their full (glorious n abridged) detail while your web-browser (its in-built picture viewer) - won't!
Bad re-textures and really great ones in posted (small n low resolution) info - only pictures in practice look almost the same and all of you who are diligently shopping n buying "good" re-texture mods based only on them are doing themselves ill favour. My (posted) pictures are intended to be honest, fully-exposed game-face of what is really there (in any game regardless of your video GAMMA settings). They are same or very similar to original (Bioware) creative art-work used for making of DA2 and as such, they might be for some too brutal and harsh (game-making) reality. If you don't know how to meaningfully read or interpret them - don't blame me for it. Try my (art) work for real - in the game and only then make / pass your judgement / post your comment.
Game mods being one of very few things still left nowadays to be actually free (to have n use at your discretion without any material cost) deserve (at least) that much of goodwill.
Of course, all this is relevant only if you care how your game actually looks / can look and you are able to see / comprehend what lies beyond simple colour variations and obvious / different (item) models.
