As it says on the tin. I've been looking for a way to change Merrill's romance outfit back to her default appearance, but couldn't find anything.
After some internet snooping I finally found this thread where someone describes how to get it done by modifying a file from this mod (Unlock Companion Armour by Victorah) in a GDApp. Seems to work fine, thought that I might as well share it in case anyone else is trying to do the same thing.
This only changes the appearance of the model, so it's still Raiments of the Dalish Pariah, they just look like Merrill's default outfit now. As a bonus, this means that any custom retexture of Merrill's default armor will now also apply to the romance variant. So if you want her to wear that cute shawl and keep wearing it after you romance her, now you can.
As with any mod, just drop the .erf file into "Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age 2\packages\core\override".
All credit goes to Victorah for the original mod, and to Epoch29 for the fix instructions.
